- The cases of a blind insurance investigator.
- Mike Longstreet was an insurance investigator who was blinded in an explosion. His wife was killed by the same blast. With the aid of braille teacher Nikki and guide dog Pax, Longstreet tracked down the jewel thieves who murdered his wife, and continued his career as a detective.—Marty McKee <mmckee@wkio.com>
- The life of independent New Orleans-based insurance investigator, Mike Longstreet, who worked on many cases for his friend Duke Paige, a chief auditor with Great Pacific Casualty, is turned upside down when Mike is the target of a bomb attack at his home, which permanently blinds him, and kills his wife, Ingrid Longstreet. Going through the regular emotions, Mike comes out the other side determined to live his life to the fullest as a blind man, which also includes continuing his work as insurance investigator. With Duke still throwing insurance cases his way, Mike has assistance in his day-to-day life from: Nikki Bell, who is initially hired as his braille teacher, but who becomes his insurance investigation associate; Mrs. Kingston, his mockingly exasperated housekeeper; and Pax, his white shepherd guide dog. But as Mike works on these insurance cases, he still has to control his emotions, as, on occasion, something takes him back to the bombing and Ingrid's death.—Huggo
- James Franciscus played Michael Longstreet, a New Orleans insurance investigator who was blinded in an attempt on his life in which his wife, Ingrid, was killed. With help from his best friend Duke (who heads the Great Pacific Casualty Company), his assistant/companion Nikki, and guide dog Pax, Longstreet continues at his job. Bruce Lee had a reoccuring role in the series teaching Longstreet jeet kune do, a Chinese form of improvisational combat.—Amy <emgeac@muohio.edu>
