The red telephone box was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, the same architect who designed Battersea Power Station and Bankside Power Station (which has now been converted into the Tate Modern art gallery).
There are very few Red Telephone boxes left in the UK any more, having been removed and converted to more modern styles. However there are still a few working examples left in the UK. One of them is located in a village called Findhorn in Northern Scotland.
