Sex & Nudity

  • No sexual content is depicted or even really discussed whatsoever. This is an overall clean and family friendly film, almost perfectly suited for family viewing and entertainment.
  • G-rated material; entirely wholesome

Violence & Gore

  • An angry albeit not very violent scuffle between brothers. The younger brother holds the older in a chokehold for several seconds.
  • A wrestling scene which is not very violent in its depiction. However, we are told before hand that an older brother hopes his younger brother will be killed in the wrestling match, though this does not happen. At the end of the wrestling match, the loser is knocked unconscious and is carried off screen.

Profanity

  • None whatsoever. Every line is taken verbatim from Shakespeare's play.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None. This film is entirely wholesome.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Characters are banished from their homes, and there are attempted assassinations. However, these scenes are few and never very intense, and everything is happy in the end. There is practically nothing frightening or intense in this very light-hearted film version of Shakespeare's comedy.
  • If given a rating, this film would most likely be rated G. Unlike many of the films that come out today, it is both completely wholesome as well as very entertaining for audiences of all ages.
