The scene where Bugs "predicts" a solar eclipse is taken directly from the original novel "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court". Protagonist Hank Morgan knows that a historical eclipse occurred on June 21, 528 and uses this knowledge to full the locals. This eclipse is an invention of Mark Twain and is not based on historical records.
