During the end credits, one of Bill Cosby's daughters is heard asking, "Daddy, can we go to the school dance?" To which Bill replies, "What? Well, what did you mother say? Well, tell her to don't bother me with that. Now take your sister's clothes off and don't wear 'em anymore. Yes, I know. What? Now what do you want? Where's your mother? Well, don't come to me with that 'cause I'm busy doing things. And get the dog out of here. The dog does not belong... Who took my socks? Did you take my soc... I don't care what they're wearing these days, take the socks off. And you take off my shirt, too. I've never seen a seven-year-old boy wear a size 13 shoe. Oh..."
The opening credits show photos of his children. Initially done in silence, later releases of the movie included a song in the background; for VHS recordings was a song called "It Was a Good Idea at the Time", while DVD releases had a song sung by Bill Cosby himself called "Just the Slew of Us," a parody of Grover Washington Jr.'s "Just the Two of us."
