Col.Potter retired from the army and decided to work at a Vetern's Hospital. He wrote to Klinger about his new job, only to hear Klinger has been in trouble with the law so Potter decides to hire Klinger as his new clerk to start a fresh new life. Father Mulcahay as everyone knows from the final episode has gone deaf and Potter though he'd operate on his ear. After helping a patient, Potter offered Mulcahay a job at the VA hospital as their hospital's priest. So Potter, Klinger, and Mulcahay sort of became family.
