Director Neri Parenti stated that shortly before filming a scene in a villa filled with faux animals, Paolo Villaggio put his hand on one of the animals and Parenti instinctively made a sound of a lion. Villaggio was immediately scared, so they decided to add this gag in the movie.

In a book, director Neri Parenti told that while preparing a scene where Paolo Coniglio (Paolo Villaggio) enters in the hotel lift and meets a bear, the trained bear called Pippo entered in the lift, but the system to prevent the lift to go upstairs didn't work. The crew was terrified thinking to a bear going up and down in a hotel lift, but fortunately he came out of the lift just on the first floor, which was empty.
