In one scene Hunter shoots at the door of Dee Dee McCall apartment fearing that the assassin may be inside. Minutes later as he finds out his partner is unharmed, they go back to the door which shows no signs of being shoot and even locks without any problem.
While at the bank Hunter shoots the back of the suspects Nova, in the rear deck lid, and left tail light. While chasing the Nova there is no bullet hole in the deck lid, and the tail light is fine.
Dee Dee tells Hunter that her husband was a motor cycle officer who was killed by teenagers during a traffic stop. However, about two years later, Det. Sgt. Steve McCall reveals that her husband had been killed during a murder investigation. Hunter had given the impression here that he did not really know Dee Dee's husband, but much later he admits to having met and worked with him.
The suspect's customized 4x4 is twice referred to as a "Bronco" but it's actually a Chevy Blazer (with the emblems covered up in closeup shots). Seems almost as if they were trying very hard to not identify the vehicle correctly.
Hunter is an officer for the Police Department of the City of Los Angeles. However, in the briefing room, seen while the Captain is haranguing his detectives, the wall map behind the lectern is clearly of Orange County, which is an entirely different jurisdiction.
The bank guard runs out after Hunter. The getaway car had already left. The guard called out the description and license plate for the getaway car even though he had not seen it.
