JACK and Mike 1986 TV-Where to get?
usbxr24 September 2005
Hello all. Commenting on Jack and Mike, as I remember the episodes, the first 3 where good shows. However, I must tell you that I have a soft spot for the show. It takes place in my old residence home. I grew up on the Near West side of Chicago in that same house that the show was filmed! The show also take you to a tour through my old school and church. I am also a Shelly Hack fan. The show is also a good Chicago scenery viewer -it takes you downtown and the lake you see the Chicago skyway at it best its parks and some food scenes. This is why I'm asking for help trying to locate any of The "Jack and Mike" videos or DVD-especially the first four shows. Anybody know where-a-bouts I may find em?

Tom Mason (appears as the slim agent on the TV movie "The Return of The Man from Uncle) and Shelley Hack ("Charlie Girl") are terrific as a modern, married couple attempting to mix the opening of his new restaurant and their marriage. Charming mix of "The Thin Man" (William Powell & Myrna Loy) mystery and conflict. Woefully underrated series. Wonderful reparte. Great Chicago scenery. Unique and wonderful. If you can get it, watch it!

Another cheap video i bought was Jack&Mike. The story is about a journalist who works for the Chicago Mirror. She gets involved in a rape-case where an innocent man is found guilty. Jackie is doing het best to find the real rapist!. Average film with Shelley Hack, Tom Mason and a small part for Dennis Farina. There is also a TV-series with the same title Jack&Mike!!
