Hidden desires

Made-for-TV, Sin Of Innocence prudently examines the relationship between a stepbrother and sister. The very talented Meg Follows and the introduction of Dermot Mulroney to the screen are a pleasure to watch. Controlled and realistic in their approach to the characters they play and to the script. Also an added bonus is the pairing of Bill Bixby and Dee Wallace Stone as the distraught parents who have recently married.

This film gives a heartfelt look at the problems faced when two people wed and unite their families together.

Very enjoyable movie …7.5/10

P.S. I don't know why they don't release more TV films onto disc..many of them are better than the big budget cinema releases.

Exceptional Made-For-TV Movie

Surprisingly good TV movie that manages to tell a good story with some taboo subject matter without being exploitative. Bill Bixby plays a widower with a teenage son (Dermot Mulroney) who marries divorced Dee Wallace who has a teenage daughter (Megan Follows). Over time the son and daughter become close and eventually develop romantic feelings for one another. Uh-oh! This doesn't go over well with the parents or Wallace's ex-husband.

They don't seem to make quality TV movies anymore like they used to. The cast is great, with the always-reliable Bill Bixby and Dee Wallace doing good work as the conflicted parents who don't know what to do with a situation like this. A young Dermot Mulroney is impressive before he would go onto bigger things. Megan Follows is wonderful. She was my primary childhood crush and I still find her adorable today. Most of her success came when she was younger but she's still working today and still a very good actress. This is not an easy movie to find but, if you're lucky, you can find it online or perhaps on a premium cable channel late at night some time, which is the last time I saw it.

Okay Movie About an Odd Subject
PretoriaDZ18 October 2019
The idea of teenagers being thrown together because of a blended family setting is interesting. The kids are embarrassed by the attraction they feel for each other and therefore don't feel comfortable talking to their respective parents about it. This means that they have to try and handle a situation they are not prepared to do. A more thorough and detailed review is not possible without spoilers so I leave it at that. My biggest complaint about the movie would be the background music. I found it to be smarmy and intrusive. It's hard to watch scenes and listen to dialogue when violins keep threatening to overtake the action.

One of my all-time favorites!

It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years now since this movie came out. I had the movie on VHS for a long time, lost it about 3 years ago, and recently found the movie for sale on the internet. I could watch it over and over. (I *have* watched it over and over.) Each member of the cast was excellent and I cannot imagine the characters being portrayed by anyone else. But, of course, the two main characters were what made the movie. Megan Follows and Dermot Mulroney each did a fabulous job. Mulroney did the part of the "Joe Cool" character, who wasn't really, better than anyone could imagine. And Megan Follows - I haven't seen an actress before or since who can say so much with her eyes! If you haven't seen this movie and you ever get a chance, don't pass it up!

this movie came along for me at just the right time in life. I was living the movie and it was able to give me clearer perspective of my situation. While things have changed for me, I still enjoy watching the movie, it helps me relive some very happy memories.

I absolutely loved this movie. I watch it every time it is on. The cast really did a great job. I really wanted Tim and Jenny together. Merged families create these situations all the time, but it was never talked about until this movie. At least not in my generation. Back to the characters: I really liked the thought of the young couple going on to live happily ever after. It would be great to have the remaining cast members re-unite to see what happened.

I thought the plot line of the movie was really unique and I got caught up in the story, after tuning in after the movie had already begun. I would recommend this movie to any Megan Follows fans and anyone who would like to see a unique love story.

A very good movie ab out a love story

Warning: Spoilers
I am french and i watched this TV movie in France in the nineties and never really forgot it..I watched it again recently on the net with the same pleasure even if i grew up . All the members of this movie are good and the story is unusual but not incestuous at all. Two teenagers Tim a cool guy and Jenny a smart and cute girl become slowly attracted to each other after a difficult beginning because their parents decided to marry and live together. They are supposed to be siblings but they are not actually.Their love is very strong and sincere and i cannot see the sin in their attitude except the fact that they fell in love and live in the same house..but why would they be punished for that? They are not kids. I felt very sad at the end because we don't know what will happen even if i guess that nothing is impossible and that Tim will see Jenny again a year or 2 later. Why would their feelings change? Anyway this movie is enjoyable and we can see that Jenny and especially Tim hide his passion and desires for Jenny since the beginning..
