Final film directed by Karel Reisz.
When Angela orders a B&B she is ordering a drink made from 1/2 oz brandy and 1/2 oz Benedictine herbal liqueur.
In a 1990 interview with "Vanity Fair" magazine, leading lady Debra Winger said she accepted the film for these "wrong reasons": director Karel Reisz, screenwriter Arthur Miller, and a desire to play a role with a multiple-personality disorder. She also acknowledged that she liked working with Reisz and wasn't upset with him when the movie flopped.
The film cast includes three Oscar nominees: Nick Nolte, Debra Winger and Jack Warden.
Nick Nolte & Debra Winger previously collaborated in Cannery Row (1982).
