the ultimate climax
trashgang21 February 2013
Made by Draculina magazine publisher Hugh Gallagher's it's his first flick in some kind of trilogy, the other being Gorotica(1993) and Gore Whore(1994). Somehow those flicks are searched by collectors. Still not having an official release you have to search the bootleg world to get your hands on.

Gorgasm being his first attempt and it shows, just watch the credits, looks like it is done with a Commodore C64. Not only that, a lot of hiss on the sound and filmed on VHS I guess. But the flicks are know for the nudity although Gorgasm doesn't has full frontal like his others.

A detective, Chase, sitting too long behind his desk can finally go out to stick his nose in a killing, a man being tied up and murdered. We actually do see the killing done by a voluptuous girl stripping before her victim. Once the stripping's over she slices the man. It never becomes gory, the only thing done is the sound of the knife going in and a bit of blood running down of the victim. The sequence stops when she's licking the bloody knife. quickly the detective find his way into the world of SM and porn.

As I said, it shows that it is a low budget. The acting and locations (the police office) are laughable.. Just look towards the 'Sarge'. Doesn't look like a cop and even her clothes aren't for real. And the way she says her lines, looks like she's reading it from something.

Yep, a videotaped exploitation very cheapie made with extreme bad acting but it delivers on the nudity and blood. Only Rick Billock (Chase) has made it further into the horror scene already coming out of Flesheater (1988) as a farmer and is still in the scene.

If it was shot better it could have been a rather good flick. You can see that the director knows what he wanted only didn't had any money. Some scene's do take a bit too long, like when Chase is visiting a porn shop it takes ages while the camera is filming all VHS available. For porn addicts it's interesting because it's the real stuff and some will recognize some labels or 'actors'.The graphic nudity really comes from that shop or the office of a porn director. The camera showing the posters does reveal all. Even a full-frontal transsexual. In fact while Chase is watching porn VHS we can watch it too and it's there that it becomes explicit.

Further is slow and boring sometimes. And still interesting for the latter reasons.

Good Low budget movie
ultra_tippergore22 September 2007
A bottom of the barrel private detective begins to investigate some weird crimes. There is an ad on a magazine with the image of a hot chick advertising "Gorgasm, the ultimate climax" and apparently the "ultimate climax" is death. Gorgasm is a low budget SOV from 1990 so expect a complete home movie look, this is not Digital SOV. If you can watch SOV and don't mind about it, give this one a try. The lead, Gabriela, is hotter than hell and is topless all the time. The soundtrack id very good, the tune "Sex Toy" is still on my mind, excellent. This is the first from a trilogy that includes "Gorotica" and "Gore whore", i will check this two also. Definitely, Gorgasm is worth a look.

A bit too low budget
ExecutiveChimp2268 August 2000
This is the first movie by the guy who directed Gorotica and Gore Whore. A woman places an add in the personals for the "ultimate climax". Which means you give her all your money and she kills you.

I loved the directors other movies, but this one is a little too low budget. You can obviously tell it was his first movie. The acting is absolutely horrible. It seems like he put his friends and family in this movie. The deaths are nothing special because the effects are so bad. This only has topless scenes, where as his other movies have full frontal nudity.

I wish Larry liked to be beat

Warning: Spoilers
Detective Chase (Rik Billock) is investigating a murder which leads him onto the adult world or "gorgasm" defined as S&M which draws blood, or in this case the girl kills and robs the guy.

The film stars Gabriela who got this job after being an Easy Rider centerfold. The acting was bad. Flint Mitchell who has a great stage name, was noticeably bad as an actor, or as a infamous US president might tweet "SAD!" Gabriela was easy on the eyes, but likewise the whole cast suffered an inability to perform. The sound was uneven too. The film had a few good lines, that can be counted on one hand.

There is a director's commentary as he tries to recall what happened 23 years ago and a blooper reel of actors forgetting their line.

Guide: F-word, sex, nudity

Rik Billock aka Chase Nicholas on Gorgasm
rikbilok17 June 2008
Hi Folks! June 17th 2008

My name is Rik Billock and I had a lot of fun playing Chase Nicholas in Hugh Gallagher's "Gorgasm" I notice in Gore Whore and Gorotica, Chas was back. maybe I'm prejudiced but I like "Gorgasm" the best. My friends ALL gave it a D and said "Rik, the best thing about the film was your acting!" Perhaps they were being kind, but I do/did have the most experience acting and have been acting lately in "The Korean" due out later this year and playing music at last year's Goodstock 2007 and this years Rock For Life(June 7th 2008)and am scheduled for Rock For Life 9 at Iselin Ball Field, Iselin, PA. You can U Tube Rik Billock or my space me or Google me for some of the other flicks I've been in including "Flesheater" "The Dark Half" and "The Black Dahlia" although there have been a lot more. "dog eat dog" "Crusader" and a lot of TV, radio, plays, etc.

Oh, by the way, I ran into Hugh Gallagher at Cinema Wasteland back in 2004 and tried to talk him into putting the Gore trilogy on a DVD. Maybe someone else can talk him into it? High publishes the magazine "Draculina" and if you're into this type of gore horror the mag is worth a look! Actually Hugh saw me in "Flesheater" which is why he cast me, and he did some stories on me in "Draculina" back in the early 1990s!

Also, note we filmed "Gorgasm" in like 5 days! Great Fun in Illinois and St Louis from a Pittsburgh actor/musician. Thanks, Hugh!

Take care and see you in the movies!!

Like a fine wine!
KREEPY24 December 2012
When I first saw this film, maybe 15 years ago, I was "meh." But having recently re-watched it, I was super impressed! It's like a fine wine, Gorgasm has aged well! I wish someone would release this on DVD, so much fun! Heck, I wish someone would release all THREE films in the "Gore Trilogy!" And the crazy killer chick ain't bad on the eyes either! And THAT theme song! I was humming the damn tune for days! A really weird, fun film, and a real time capsule of SOV filmmaking! I really miss these wacky DIY old shot on video horror films. I really wish more were readily available on DVD. Fingers crossed! That would be an awesome Christmas wish come true!

So was I Rik!
charmark_813 September 2009
I was in the film too (Max). It was a whole lot of fun to make the thing. I bet the folks of Hamel IL are still talking about the time we were there. Hugh really should have told them what was going on. :)

The whole thing felt like we were on a real movie set: it didn't have an air of cheapness about it at all. Hugh is a great guy: I wish I could have been involved in other projects of his.

Oh, I went back to Hamel IL to see what the town was like, many years later. Stan left that hotel: from what I was told, one day he just picked up and left. That rundown little restaurant is still there, as is that bar with the great fried cod. In other words, except for Stan, the town is unchanged.

Every once in a while I bug Hugh about doing a new film project. Hugh is doing all right with Draculina; I don't think he has any cash to throw away on another film. And that's a real shame.

You mean Hugh's films aren't on DVD? Considering how easy it is to do (even I know how to do it, and I have ten sets of thumbs), I'm surprised he hasn't.

At any event, Gorgasm was as fun to be in as it was to watch.
