Grand Slam 3
unclehugo8 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Two episodes of this series about Hardball and Gomez were bundled together and released as Grand Slam 3 during the early 1990's in the Czech Republic. The plot concerns Hardball's trouble with some obnoxious guy who sued him for an assault, Hardball's movable property being confiscated (there is nothing valuable in his office anyway),a former close pal of Gomez being helped by our heroic duo, a hacker who changes some records in the computer network and makes Hardball a target for all other bounty hunters in the city and also fanatics from organization "White Nations" wearing swastikas on their sleeves. It's packed with witty lines, likable characters, well-done action scenes and stunt work, all in all a great example of made-for-television entertainment.

GRAND SLAM = "DEAD TROUBLE" in Australia
ty-5723 January 2005
IF THEY COULD JUST STAND EACH OTHER, NO-ONE ELSE WOULD STAND A CHANCE! Good luck finding this on video! Originally made for television and released in 1989 by New World International. The action adventure comedy - "Grand Slam" was released in Australia under the title of 'DEAD TROUBLE'.

It stars John Schneider and Paul Rodriguez as HARDBALL & GOMEZ.

They're a pair of modern day bounty hunters forced to team up to catch a ruthless criminal and collect the massive bond reward...

It was distributed in Australia by PREMIERE - A division of VILLAGE ROADSHOW CORPORATION LIMITED. (1989) To my knowledge, it has never been officially released on VHS or DVD in Australia, and could possibly only be found at your local secondhand video dealer as a EX-RENTAL...if your lucky! I paid $2.95 Australian for mine!

SEQUEL

Yep, you guessed it! "They back and up to their necks in it again in MORE DEAD TROUBLE"

I never even new it existed until today, as I found it while looking through the secondhand bins at my local video store.

"United they stand. Divided they fall for every trick in the book!" John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazard) and Paul Rodriguez (The Whoopi Boys) are reunited as HARDBALL and GOMEZ.

Written and Directed by Bill Norton. Running Time 89 Min's: Released by Roadshow Entertainment in Australia.
