The "wrecked" car is back at the house, at least four months later, after the accident. It is shown for a few seconds after the lead characters first day back at work. Also, at least four months after the accident, there is still snow on the ground and on the house. However, there is more of this snow, which is in the same pattern, than the amount of snow on the first day of the movie.
While set in New York City the door shields on the NYPD police cars randomly change from correct NYPD crests to generic 'Metro Police' crests.
The lead character's car is struck from the rear by a tractor trailer, and we see him fly forward into the dashboard. A rear-end impact would cause the occupant of the struck car to fly backward. In severe cases such as this, the occupant would be ejected out the rear window.
None of the civilian vehicles have yearly validation stickers on their windshields which are required in New York state.
