The costumes used in the film are mostly re-used Giorgio Armani originals from The Untouchables (1987).
Credited as a consultant, Andy Edmonds, author of the original source non-fiction book Hot Toddy, was on the set for every day of the shoot. Often at the request of the cast, she would advise changes in the shooting script to make the film as historically accurate as possible.
Most of the crew cameos in the film in one place or another - sometimes in multiple roles - including director Paul Wendkos, director of photography Chuck Arnold and costume designer Heidi Kaczenski.
