Probably the only film to feature six Jimi Hendrix songs. Verdone said that when they filmed it was a particularly favorable moment to buy the rights for the soundtrack.
Carlo Verdone stated that this movie was intended as a homage to Jimi Hendrix and also to his own hypochondria, which definitely diminished after filming. Verdone says that he considers this movie a sort of self-analysis in front of his audience.
Margherita Buy stated that she first met Carlo Verdone at the theatre where she was playing La stazione and invited him to dinner; he told her he was looking for a funny female character for a comedy he was planning and he wanted to know her better. Buy was impressed that Verdone involved her a lot to build her character and hired a female screenwriter, Francesca Marciano, for this purpose. Carlo Verdone and Margerita Buy worked together again in Ma che colpa abbiamo noi (2000), again in the role of people suffering from anxiety. Verdone also co-starred with Buy's husband Sergio Rubini in Al lupo al lupo (1992) and Manuale d'amore 2 - Capitoli successivi (2007).
During filming in Cornwall, Carlo Verdone dared to take a selfie beside a sign written in Gaelic which is considered cursed by locals.
Final film of Didi Perego.
