Tattooed trollops and a happy horse.
BA_Harrison10 September 2011
Gore Whore stars Audrey Street as white-trash hooker Dawn Day (a tribute to Romero, no doubt) who has made off with a crazy scientist's latest discovery—a Reanimator style bright green goop that is capable of bringing the dead back to life. Ex-cop turned private-eye Chase Barr (Brady Debussey) is hired to locate the girl, unaware that she is in fact a murderous zombie herself, kept alive by the miraculous substance (which she applies via a modified sex-toy) and a constant supply of fresh blood.

Bearing such a blatant title, this scuzzy piece of home-made trash clearly aims to titillate and disgust in equal measures, but with the majority of its already virtually non-existent budget blown on its natty black dildo-cum-syringe prop, viewers shouldn't go expecting tons of quality T&A or realistic splatter: after all, hard-bodied hotties and great gore FX don't come cheap, whereas tattooed trollops and strawberry sauce are a snip.

In addition to its regular but remarkably unappealing nudity and thoroughly unconvincing on screen violence (which includes a couple of crap emasculations, some throat biting, a severed head, and a frenzied but clumsily executed knife attack on a big breasted blonde that involves lots of strawberry sauce, which Audrey licks off her victim afterwards—waste not, want not!), Gore Whore also boasts terrible acting, incredibly lo-fi visuals, and wildly varying sound levels.

However, considering how amateurish the film is in nearly every department, I'm quite surprised to find myself awarding it a better-than-it-probably-deserves rating of 5/10. It might be utter garbage thrown together by talent-free no-hopers, but it managed to hold my attention; and besides, I have to have admiration for any indie project that dares to show so much skin (no matter how manky), presents zombies reanimated by rectal injection, and still finds time to feature a completely pointless shot of a contented-looking horse.

the dildo with the green goo
trashgang21 February 2013
This time we start with bondage footage. and of course the industrial soundtrack. Again a controversial opening. Still a no-budget flick shot on video. From the opening we move towards a hooker doing a strip for a guy laying on bed. She do strips all the way full frontal and has a big taste for the man his fluids, but not the one you think, she needs his blood, giving him a blow-job she bites off his cock and bites him in the neck drinking his blood. Gore and nudity in a few minutes. In comes the detective searching for the hooker. But is the hooker what she looks like?

Again Hugh Gallagher shows that he can make a movie and knows how to shock but sadly the sound and no use of lighting indoor makes it again for most of the viewers unwatchable. But just like Gorotica (1993) being a rip-off of Nekromantik (1987) this here sure will ring a bell if you have seen Re-animator (1985) due the green goo.

Bad acting, laughable knife attack, a bit of full frontal, bad sound, you know what you will get while watching this. It's getting better and better, here the cop do has an uniform on, it looks more believable then Gorotica (1993). And for the main lead Audrey Street, rare pair of breasts I must say and she really reveals everything, even with close-ups of her vagina. And the scene with the live band, laughable.

Mildly Entertaining Zero-Budget Trash...
EVOL6665 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I have to say that I was expecting the worst after Hugh Gallagher's previous entry, GOROTICA - which despite some "interesting" concepts - was pretty much garbage. GORE WHORE is no "masterpiece" by any stretch, but it was a little more entertaining, and the production value (though still VERY poor in that "shot-on-camcorder" style) seemed slightly better.

The "plot" is about a hooker that runs off with a scientists secret formula. The scientist hires a washed-up detective to find the ho and get his formula back. Turns out that home-girl was the scientist's experiment, and is really dead and needs to "inject" the formula (via squirt-gun dildo) and drink blood to stay "alive".

GORE WHORE is a semi-entertaining way to blow 90-minutes or so - but isn't anything all that notable. The lead actress has plenty of full-frontal nude scenes, but I'm not sure if that's such a great thing or not, as her chest is all sunken-in and looks like her titties are trying' to look at each other. Her performance is decent though and it seems like she's trying to make the most out of her role. The film is not very gory, it's more just goofy - and the production-value is nearly non-existent. But if you dig super low-budget films, this one isn't as bad as some I've seen. Worth a one-time-watch...6.5/10

An entertaining low budget gem!
pizowell12 March 2001
Gore Whore is the twisted tale of a dead girl who must drink the blood of the living and inject herself in a strange place with a strangely shaped syringe of fluorescent green stuff to stay alive. A burnout ex cop is hired to find the whore and bring her to a doctor who made the "gore whore" so she could be his sex slave. What a story, huh? Although it was made super cheap and shot on a video camera it was a surprisingly entertaining and funny flick. Despite the budget and production, you could tell the director had some talent and if you just wanna burnout in front of the tube and see some T&A and have a few laughs, I say go for it and bring along Gore Whore.

The middle, and best installment in the gore trilogy.

Proves that you don't need a budget to make a good movie
ExecutiveChimp2268 August 2000
This was made on a low budget, but its still higher than the directors earlier movies (Gorgasm, Gorotica). The title actress does an excellent job. She takes her clothes off frequently for some fairly explicit nudity. The effects are nothing great, but they're not really that bad. Especially compared to Gorgasm. Not bad at all. I'm hoping that Hugh Gallagher keeps on making more movies.

cheap cheap cheap

this movie is so cheaply made it's unreal. Wildly fluctuating sound levels, poor poor editing and cheesy effects means you definitely need a four pack to sit back and chill out to this. All said and done, Audrey Street, as the Gore Whore, is creepily cool, and makes the most of the "role", such as it is - she's naked inside the first minute of the movie! Still, gratuitous nudity, cruddy gore, and crappy acting are what these things are all about, right? This has plenty of it all. Believe me though, get a camcorder and for £50 you really can make a better movie than this . ..

It's missing one thing

Gore

It's missing gore

If they'd have gone as in with that as they did the nudity this would be one of my favourite movies and an instant 10/10. It had all the makings.

But it just didn't have the gore.
