One of the most beautiful and strong movies in Italian cinema
andymase1 August 2000
A blow in the stomach..."Il Branco" is an incredibly dramatic and crude psychological insight about "group rape". The movie tells the story (unfortunately a true one) of a couple of German girls, kidnapped, raped and beaten to death by a gang ("branco" means "wolf pack" in Italian), a group of ruthless "desperado" that live and "think" as a single being. The movie is a strongly realistic one, but with some powerful symbolic imageries, and revolve around the single identity of rapists, in the trying of expose what could ever push a human being to act in such an inhuman way. Actors are really great and fully believable as characters. You shouldn't miss this one. Anyway, be warned, since this is one of the most disturbing movie ever. If you ever wondered how painful and terrible a rape could be to a woman, let this movie rape your soul...You won't be the same ever again. Promised.

one of the best and brutal italian crime ever made!!!

Marco Risi did a great job in telling a terrible true story that took place years ago in the outskirts of Rome. The director recounts the cowardice and ferocity of rape from the point of view of the executioners and not of the victims (and perhaps this is what sparked bitter controversy at the time) with a disturbing and shocking realism, but it is precisely this aspect that makes "The Pack "a beautiful film, a ruthless film, devoid of rhetoric or do-gooders, a film that hits the viewer in the stomach and forces him to reflect on human evil. A must see movie.

This is one of the most terrible movies made in Italy:I didn't sleep the night after seeing this movie,I kept on watching the film instead of sleeping. It seems a documentary and in fact this is a true story of two raped German girls, two tourists. Don't show this movie to your children and you think it over before watching it too.
