One of Marylin Chambers attempts to break into the mainstream market.Although it's always good to see her, this is a very lame effort. Probably made a few years before her big comeback porn film "Still Insatiable." The latter film is much better in all respects (acting, production value, plot, etc.)

You know a movie's in trouble when the most recognizable stars in it are former porn star Marylin Chambers and Playboy model Isabelle Fortea. As Joe Bob Briggs would say, this movie relies quite a bit on the actresses' talents rather than their talent. The producers thought "Well, we've got a bunch of beautiful women in skimpy clothing, who cares about things like plot, character development, etc.?"

This has to be the most ridiculous and yet hilarious premise' for a film I have ever witnessed! A Porn star finds her vegetarian restaurant, where they appear to serve whole unwashed carrots, is losing business. Add to that the fact that the landlord is threatening to knock down the building. In walks former co-star Marilyn Chambers who decides that the restaurant needs to have a different theme, and hey-presto, the Bikini Bistro is born. Errr...that's it! The script contains some really genuinely funny jokes but the acting is as dire as you would expect. Although all the flesh on dispklay is gorgeous, Male and Female - especially Joseph Pallister, who is yummy!

This is the very definition of enjoyable trash. You do not see this movie to take it seriously, but to be mildly amused and see the scenes of soft porn. For what it is, the plot is rather amusing and actually keeps your interest. You do not just see skin, but an actual storyline, that is obviously silly but at least they took the time to offer it. Also, unlike some harder porn, the women are actually nice to look at, and have some semblance of acting ability. Special note: the male restaurant reviewer Marilyn hooks up with was a NY firefighter that got in trouble for his moonlighting, and lost his job for moral turpitude. Idiotic.
