Xbox has been in a bad spot with the gaming community after the shutdown of multiple studios, including Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks and Prey developer Arkane Austin. Fans have bashed the company and the management over this, and some are even boycotting.
Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, has been the main target of fans to blame over the closure of the studios, but they seem to now have someone else. Fans are now taking out their frustration on the former president of Blizzard Entertainment and VP at Microsoft, Mike Ybarra, after his lengthy tweet.

Serialized storylines are, naturally, tricky for shows that are, by design, inherently episodic. When "House" devoted a large chunk of its third season to the relentless Detective Michael Tritter (David Morse) trying to get back at Hugh Laurie's misanthropic diagnostician for humiliating him, the series' writers were banking on viewers not losing interest before the pair's conflict had concluded. As one of those viewers, let me tell you: It's a good thing they didn't push their luck any further than they did, even if pitting House against a cop was about as effective a way as any to get us to overlook the former's many, many blatantly unethical indiscretions and root for him to outwit this wannabe Moriarty to his Sherlock.
"Bones," like "House," was primarily episodic, with its namesake, Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), and her other half, FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), typically wrapping up a...

TV crossovers have been a thing for the vast majority of the medium's history as a popular form of entertainment. From "The Jetsons" meeting "The Flinstones" to "The Simpsons" meeting the characters from "Futurama," there's a rich history here. But not every crossover is quite so obvious. For example, the Fox crime drama "Bones" ended up crossing with, oddly enough, Seth MacFarlane's animated sitcom "Family Guy." Bizarre though it may sound, both shows aired on the same network at the same time, and there was a good enough reason to bring these characters into the same universe at the time.
The episode in question was the second to last episode of "Bones" season 4, entitled "The Critic in the Cabernet." While the main plot involves human remains found inside a wine barrel during a tasting, the crossover has to do with the episode's B-plot. In the episode, Emily Deschanel's...

The recent closure of multiple Xbox studios, including the critically acclaimed Tango Gameworks, developer of 2023’s beloved Hi-Fi Rush, has leveled an unprecedented amount of outrage towards Microsoft from the games industry at large.
However, what made it worse was the trillion-dollar company’s executives internally telling development teams that they want “smaller games” that bring “prestige and awards” to the company, right after shuttering those four studios. Here’s why this extraneous pursuit will lead to even more studio closures within Xbox.
Xbox’s Demands Go Against Its Actions
Xbox had one prestigious game that accrued lots of awards, and it proceeded to shut down the studio that made it.
Over the past few years, Xbox has been on a spending spree of close to $100 billion. The platform holder has acquired extremely famous names in the industry like Blizzard, Bethesda, Activision, id Software, and many more. Xbox claimed that...

In light of Xbox’s recent controversial decision that has resulted in the closure of many beloved studios that it had acquired over time, many social media users are bringing up the gaming brand’s old posts to highlight its supposed hypocrisy.
One of these posts happens to be a “brutal” graphic of the company’s team, which hasn’t aged so well; instead, it’s got people even more angry at the company’s recent decisions.
Team Xbox and Bethesda Aren’t Winning Any Favors
“What is Xbox doing?” seems to be a popular sentiment
All chaos broke loose on social media when it was revealed that Xbox would be killing smaller studios in charge of hits like Hi-Fi Rush, The Evil Within, and Prey.
Fans and community members are still confused as to why these studios were forced to close shop, rather than Microsoft disinvesting in these companies or tanking the losses.

Yesterday’s closure of Tango Gameworks by parent company Microsoft was a deep cut for millions in the games industry. Started by legendary game auteur Shinji Mikami, the small Japanese studio gave birth to excellent games like The Evil Within, Ghostwire Tokyo, and most recently, Hi-Fi Rush.
The 2023 rhythmic action-brawler was a complete shadow-drop, yet one of the best games of the year. And why wouldn’t it, with its lively art style and hectic gameplay? However, what elevates the game even further is its curated selection of licensed music, as director John Johanas reveals.
Licensed Music Makes Up A Chunk Of Hi-Fi Rush‘s Identity
John Johanas believes the licensed songs are integral to the Tango masterpiece’s gameplay loop.

Redfall‘s studio was one of the many that were announced to be closed down by Microsoft around 24 hours ago.
And, in what seems to be a shocking twist, it looks like the studio staff affected by these shutdowns was still working on its respective games the very day Xbox executive Matt Booty sent his now-infamous email.

Xbox’s closure of four of its game development studios – Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse Games – has sent shockwaves throughout the industry. The studios were part of the platform holder’s acquisition of Zenimax back in 2021.
Several developers have spoken out in support of the shuttered studios, criticizing Microsoft’s pricey acquisitions over the past few years and wondering which studios could be next. Even Helldivers 2 director & Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt expresses sympathy for one affected studio in particular.
Johan Pilestedt Wonders Why Xbox Didn’t Sell Off Tango
Selling off Tango to the highest bidder would’ve net Xbox some money, and the studio wouldn’t have to be closed.
In a recent tweet, Pilestedt honed in on the closure of Tango Gameworks, stating that he couldn’t fathom why Xbox axed the Japanese studio instead of separating it from its first-party lineup and selling it off.

Watch just about any media from the mid-20th century and you'll quickly notice something: people smoked a lot more onscreen back then -- like, a lot more. Those born in the current century would no doubt be shocked to learn that even beloved cartoon icons like Donald Duck would light up a pipe or puff away on a stogie when the occasion merited (and that's to say nothing of commercials like the jaw-dropping marketing campaign where Fred Flinstone gets his buddy Barney and his wife Wilma hooked on Winston cigarettes).
Smoking was a useful visual shorthand for a variety of things. When Cruella De Vil spewed a wreath of putrid yellow smoke from her infamous cigarette holder in Disney's animated "101 Dalmatians," you just knew she was trouble, even before dog-napping entered the equation. Alternatively, when Cary Grant carefully lit Eva Marie Saint's cigarette in perhaps the ultimate Alfred Hitchcock picture,...

Never let it be said that "Bones" was above using its weekly murder investigation format to put its heroes in highly improbable situations for a laugh. In point of fact, the show's writers seized every excuse they could contrive to push Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) out of their element, whether that meant going undercover at a circus or entering the squared circle as part of an episode that was itself an irreverent "Simpsons" Easter egg hunt. 10 bucks say you can already guess what happened when the Jeffersonian crew found themselves looking into the apparent murder of a professional ballroom dancer in season 8, episode 10, "The Diamond in the Rough."
Sure enough, faster than you can argue that "Strictly Ballroom" is Baz Luhrmann's second-best movie (never let it be said that I myself am above contriving things for my own purposes), Bones and Booth dust off...

The thing with playing a fictional character is that certain things from one's real life are going to impact that character. This came into play for Emily Deschanel during her long run as Temperance Brennan on "Bones." During the show's seventh season, Deschanel was pregnant, which impacted the production. Part of that was solved by her character also being pregnant, even though half of the season's planned episodes still had to be scrapped. But other problems were solved simply by Deschanel being unwilling to surrender parts of her job, including stunts.
Executive producers Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan discussed "Bones" season 7 ahead of its premiere back in 2011 with TV Tango. The duo explained that they hired a stunt double for the actor, figuring somewhat reasonably that she would need it given that she was toward the end of her pregnancy. But as Nathan revealed, even though she was literally days away from giving birth,...

When David Boreanaz read for FBI agent Seeley Booth in the "Bones" pilot, he instantly thought of "Harry and the Hendersons." It's not hard to see why. The character's relationship with his then newfound partner, the forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel), readily evokes that between the open-hearted Bigfoot Harry and John Lithgow's uptight, disapproving patriarch George Henderson Jr. in William Dear's Oscar-winning 1987 fantasy comedy film. Much like Harry and George, however, Bones gradually opens up to Booth in spite of his shenanigans and even bids him a teary farewell when he rejoins his fellow federal investigators living in the wilderness.
Alright, alright, fine, Boreanaz actually thought of "Romancing the Stone." Even in the pilot, long before they became a romantic item, Booth and Bones' repartee recalled Robert Zemeckis' 1984 hit action-rom-com, itself a throwback to Golden Age Hollywood screwball comedy and action-adventure classics like "It Happened One Night" and "The African Queen,...

Cancer subplots are an extremely tough needle to thread on television. When you're dealing with a disease that causes millions of new cases each year, the line between handling the subject sensitively and crossing the line into exploitation is thinner and blurrier than it might be with other topics. "Bones" may have done a poor job handling cannibalistic serial killers with its Gormogon arc -- a storyline that even Booth himself, David Boreanaz, has admitted was "bad television" -- but for the vast majority of people watching at home, cannibalistic serial killers, unlike cancer, aren't something they'll ever have to worry about in their real lives.
This was absolutely on creator Hart Hanson and his writing staff's minds when they decided to tackle The Big C. "Bones," unlike a lot of other crime procedurals, was equally invested in the home lives of the Jeffersonian Institute's employees as when they were...

Despite taking a civil tone in a press release issued that summer, she came firing back in 2023 with a tabloid-ready diss track, detailing their breakup (and Piqué’s infidelity) in excruciating detail: the electro-pop atomic bomb “Bzrp Music Sessions #53,”recorded...

Every show with a will-they-or-won't-they romance inevitably faces the question: should we try and make our characters work as a couple for real? Or do we just keep pretending that Cory and Topanga aren't stuck in a toxic loop and Cory wouldn't be much happier with Shawn? Or that Cory, Topanga, Shawn, and Angela should just end the charade already and enter a polyamorous relationship? I have a lot of thoughts on "Boy Meets World," that's what I'm really saying.
So it was when "Bones" reached what would only end up being the halfway point of its 12-season run. By that time, creator Hart Hanson knew he couldn't pull another fakeout, what with "Bones" fans still fuming from Booth (David Boreanaz) hallucinating that he and Bones (Emily Deschanel) had finally done the horizontal mambo at the end of season 4. Leading South Korean sales company Finecut has picked up international sales rights to action comedy film “Boss.” It will launch the title at next week’s FilMart in Hong Kong.
Directed by Ra Hee-chan, the film follows gang members embroiled in fierce competition. They struggle not just for supremacy within their clan, but also to achieve their own dreams in everyday life.
“Boss” stars Jo Woo-jin as a man who wants to run his family’s Chinese restaurant; Jung Kyung-ho (“Men of Plastic”), who believes it is his destiny to be a Tango dancer; and Park Ji-hwan (“The Roundup” film series), who is the most eager member to be the boss, but nobody wants him.
Production is by Hive Media Corp., the company behind the late 2023 box office hit “12.12: The Day,” which garnered over 13 million admissions.
Finecut will be screening the first footage from the new title at its booth in FilMart.

Like any effectual will-they/won't-they foxtrot (not least of all the '80s action rom-com that convinced David Boreanaz to join the series), "Bones" was always looking for fun and frisky ways of bringing socially aloof forensics expert Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and intuitive FBI agent Seeley Booth's (Boreanaz) underlying sexual tension to a boil. Even so, few of their adventures saw Bones and Booth engage in quite as much figurative edging as they did in "Double Trouble in the Panhandle."

In a world where superheroes, sequels, horror (thankfully) and anything IP related are king, it seems as though the risqué original thriller has gone by the wayside. Over the past ten years or so you’d be hard pressed to find anything other than The Invisible Man, You Should Have Left, Gerald’s Game, Gone Girl, or Knock, Knock that really fit the mold (albeit with some finagling) and each of those is either tied to popular literature or skews closer to the horror genre.
But the original thriller thrived in the 1990s. Also thriving during this beautiful time in Hollywood were action movies featuring two adversaries face to face on the poster and/or movie cover. Movies like Face/Off, Point Break, Demolition Man, Universal Soldier, and Broken Arrow. 1992’s Unlawful Entry combines both of these elements with two heaping sides of the stalker and slasher horror subgenres. Heading into Dancing With the Stars’ season finale, Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy were the clear favorites among TVLine readers — not only for who would win Season 32, but who should win Season 32.
Xochitl was among a record five finalists competing on Tuesday’s season ender, alongside Ariana Madix, Jason Mraz, Alyson Hannigan and Charity Lawson. But before the Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy could go to any of those hopefuls, Dancing had a three-hour (!) broadcast in store for us, packed with two closing routines from each couple, plus a whooole lotta filler. Did we need 30 full minutes to recap all of this season’s best performances?...

Potential "Deadpool 3" spoilers to follow.
In a time of great turmoil for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who better to come strolling in than the Merc With A Mouth himself? The big-screen iteration of Deadpool -- as played by Ryan Reynolds -- thrives on upending expectations for the superhero genre, like when "Deadpool 2" introduced a version of the famous mutant outlaw squad known as X-Force, only to immediately kill off the entire team in a comically violent fashion (save for Zazie Beetz's luck-powered Domino). A little chaos along those lines would surely do the MCU good at this juncture, allowing it to shake off its recent woes and work towards a better tomorrow.
For that to happen, however, Marvel Studios should probably do a little House (of Ideas) cleaning first. Enter "Deadpool 3," a three-quel that's gotten fans hyped ever since it was confirmed to bring Reynolds' Wade Wilson into the MCU.

For that to happen, however, Marvel Studios should probably do a little House (of Ideas) cleaning first. Enter "Deadpool 3," a three-quel that's gotten fans hyped ever since it was confirmed to bring Reynolds' Wade Wilson into the MCU.

Having earned a score of 31 from the judges for their Argentine tango and picking up an additional two points in the Hustle and Charleston group elimination dance, Mauricio Umansky (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and partner Emma Slater weren’t at the bottom of the scoreboard on Dancing With the Stars. However, the two were sent home after fan votes were factored into the results. The real estate mogul and his pro partner, to whom he’d been erroneous romantically linked, chatted with TV Insider on the ballroom floor after the live broadcast ended. “I’m shocked,” Umansky said about his elimination. “It would have been nice to have gone another week,” Slater added. “This journey doesn’t last forever. We’ve been aware of that.” She may be philosophical about their departure, but Slater says it’ll still sting when she’s not learning a new dance with Umansky later this week.

“Dancing With the Stars” Season 32 kicked off right on schedule on Tuesday night, with all 15 couples, even temporary holdout actor Matt Walsh, hitting the dance floor for the first time.
“Bachelorette” star Charity Lawson and partner Artem Chigvintsev earned the highest score of the evening for their Tango, which judge Bruno Tonioli proclaimed to be “exquisite,” while Carrie Ann Inaba said it was “stunning,” especially for Week 1.
Charity took the lead from singer Jason Mraz, whose Cha-Cha-Cha with Daniella Karagacha to his own song, “I Feel Like Dancing,” prompted Bruno to dub him “the one to watch.” Jason, who claimed his higher-than-average dancing skills were due to an “extra vertebra,” earned a “7” from each judge.
After the audience votes were added, “Rhobh” star Mauricio Umansky and “Veep” star Matt Walsh were in the bottom two. Matt’s “non-traditional” Cha-Cha-Cha with partner Koko Iwasaki received a “4,” from each judge, a decision the audience booed.

You can take the dance pro out of the ballroom but not the ballroom out of the dance pro. Cheryl Burke, a two-time mirror ball champion, whose name is synonymous with Dancing With the Stars, left the reality-based competition series at the end of Season 31 last year. However, she’s still got plenty to say about her experience having coached celebs including Emmitt Smith, Drew Lachey, Gilles Marini, Ian Ziering, and many others how to Tango and do the Paso Doble. She’s doing so on a new iHeartRadio podcast, Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans. Sure, the series may have a provocative title and Burke is already digging deep with the interviews she’s done, but she’s approaching her interviews with a deep sense of gratitude for how DWTS changed her life. Read on to get the scoop on how the idea for the show came about and a preview of upcoming guests.

Shakira gave a sweeping, dancified career performance at the 2023 MTV VMAs that had everyone at New Jersey's Prudential Center up on their feet. InlanDimensions International Arts Festival has established itself as Central Europe's largest multidisciplinary festival, rejecting differentiation between Europe and Asia by building bridges between countries and cultures. It showcases a kaleidoscope of arts ranging from theatre, performance, dance, and cinema, to music, literature, and visual arts, bringing together artists and audiences from all over the world, launching co-productions, and facilitating negotiations between venues and producers through professional language services. Though the central focus of InlanDimensions is on postwar to postmodern art, the festival does not break with tradition, but stresses its transformations and influence on contemporary art. It introduces audiences to the concept of Eurasian theatre and film as a marriage of diverse cultures and genres within a single piece of art. We invite a broad spectrum of artists to create another dimension of this vast intercultural empire that reaches deeper and deeper into the continents.

But it would later be revealed that Goose was not a cat at all, but a shape-shifting alien creature called a flerkin, a voracious squid-like alien that can swallow human-sized prey whole before returning to the size of a house cat, presumably digesting its meals very, very quickly. It was Goose that scratched Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) across his eye, leaving him wearing his signature eyepatch.
According to a 2019 piece in Collider, "Captain Marvel" hired four different cat actors to play Goose throughout the film. Their names were Gonzo, Rizzo, Archie, and Reggie. One of them was hired because it has good at being held, one had the most attractive cat face,...

The Russian derby at Wimbledon was won by the 16-year rising star Mirra Andreeva who convincingly beat Anastasia Potapova .
Is Andreeva Wta 's next superstar? Well, it certainly looks like that as the 16-year-old is proving that her breakout as a 15-year was no mistake. A few months ago Andreeva won some matches at the Madrid Open before turning 16 and many were left impressed with her level.
After turning 16, the rising start continued playing well cruising through the Roland Garros qualifiers. She won a couple of main draw matches but eventually lost to another tennis phenom Coco Gauff .
Her first tango at Wimbledon is certainly proving equally fruitful for the youngster. She cruised through the qualifiers without many issues even if this was her first major experience on grass.

Sometimes, a movie goes so fast you wonder where the time has gone.
The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango was just that kind of movie, as it reunited Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp, allowing them to kick up their heels together once more -- this time to solve a murder!
Did their natural chemistry work for or against this crime-solving duo?
In the movie, Chabert plays Constance Bailey, a seasoned detective who finds that working with a partner doesn't work for her style.
Being a lone wolf might help her solve cases, but it does nothing for her chances at a promotion. Her department chief told her as much, but what he asked of her didn't appear to sink in.
You knew that other than that quirk of self-imposed solitary confinement, she was excellent at her job when the Chief sent her to investigate an important case -- the murder...

Although they’ve only starred in two movies together, Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp have proven to be a formidable team.
The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango finds the duo doing what they’ve been doing so successfully — you guessed it (the title gives it away), dancing!
The Christmas Waltz and Love, Romance & Chocolate were rom-coms, so although they’ll be dancing again, the romance may be a little more elusive, but never too far from our grasp.
As the story goes, Chabert stars as Constance Bailey, a no-nonsense detective who insists on doing things her way.
So far, that has meant doing everything alone.
Sure, she gets results, but it’s not like she hasn’t been looking for a partner. She has, but her stubbornness ensures they don’t hang around for long.
Partnerships can be very helpful in life, and Bailey’s career is wilting on the vine without one.
