As of May 22nd, there have been dozens of tweets and Reddit posts from users complaining that several games from their EA App library are missing including FIFA. They have received an error report saying that the games are currently unavailable, even though they have been purchased.
Several games from their biggest franchises, such as Battlefield and Dead Space have also been affected. This isn’t the first time this has happened, as this seems to be a regular glitch for a few users. But this one seems to be the biggest in a long time, affecting the most number of users.

EA’s FIFA series is amongst the various games that are down.
The library issue seems to only occur to users of the EA App, which was formerly known as EA Origin.

Helldivers 2 sure can get challenging, especially while confronting Automatons on a planet. Unless a player has practiced getting proper headshots, it’s a hit-or-miss affair with their backs to the wall. While the players have a barrage of defenses at their disposal, during missions, they can’t stop thinking about how bad one of these assists is.
The game recently attracted a lot of heat following the Psn and Steam account controversy, but things have returned to normal now. Players have again gone busy pest-controlling the planets and taking out the metal trash from there. Furthermore, there have been rumors making the rounds in the community that developers are planning to blow up a planet. It would be interesting to watch.

Phil Spencer May Be Looking to Retaliate Against Xbox and PC Players That Attacked Him in Fallout 76
Gamers can’t do anything about the recent studio closures carried out by Microsoft and Phil Spencer. However, they can express their disapproval through games like Fallout 76. Gamers are likely aware of the fact that his famous P3 campsite was nuked by a player recently within the game. Nonetheless, the player clarified it wasn’t a result of his rage over the closures.
The user cleared the air more by stating that he had been planning the attack for weeks. He was curious to know if the Microsoft Gaming CEO would fight him or not. And it wasn’t the first time his site was nuked; the momentum has gained pace lately. But now it’s time for Phil to act, and looks like he’s all set.
It is Time Phil Spencer to Take Control of The Battlefield Now
Phil Spencer’s campsite has been one of the most popular locations in the game.

Following a challenging week for the industry, which saw Xbox close four more studios—two of them were Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks—Electronic Arts has made an unusual announcement about the use of AI in game development in titles like Battlefield. This statement suggests that, possibly, many developers will be willing to use AI to accelerate development times and make the work easier.
The news was first reported by Video Game Chronicle; in the X post of the article, the reception was not good at all. Many users are attacking Andrew Wilson for trying to make use of AI. The majority of players did not like Wilson’s words.

News of the next Battlefield game has arrived, and with it, a sense of cautious optimism. After the rocky launch and lukewarm reception of Battlefield 2042, EA promised a course correction for the series, leading many fans to believe it might break away from the live-service formula 2042 tried.
As it turns out, the publisher has decided to stick with the same live-service philosophy for the next entry in the franchise, instead giving it the largest development team in the series’ history and thinking the solution to the problem is throwing more money at it.
Live Service Was Battlefield 2042‘s Biggest Failing
Although made by a much larger team, the next Battlefield game will be live service, just like the detested 2042.

With Battlefield 2042 in its final season and EA Motive joining Criterion Games, Dice, and Ripple Effect for the development of the next game, Electronic Arts is in full swing. The company’s boss, Andrew Wilson, confirmed what lies ahead. Fans will be happy to know that EA is prioritizing the military shooter’s development.
However, they aren’t likely to rush it. The last game in the franchise is not on crutches anymore after recurring updates sent in by developers throughout the years. Upon its release, the game saw a barrage of performance issues and bugs initially that repelled the users back in the first place. EA wouldn’t want to see that again for sure.
It’s About the Overall Long-Term Well-Being of Battlefield Battlefield 2042 was poorly received by the fans initially.
EA’s latest earnings call is out, and the company confirms they are having a good time amid the off-market conditions.

It was once understandable when gamers didn’t get what they saw on CD covers of video games. But developers weren’t developing games using Unreal Engine 5 like they are now. Unlike the old times, they can now share the kind of graphics that they can deliver in the game.
Now, gamers don’t judge games based on CD covers. They do it via the trailers they see on the internet. With the industry having advanced today, they believe they’ll get the same product as presented on the screen. That’s a big misunderstanding.
Back in the day, users at least knew that they wouldn’t see the kind of dinosaurs and lush jungles in the game as presented on a Dino Crisis poster. It didn’t hurt when the players saw pixelated environments when they finally played the game, but that’s not the case with the latest generation of games.

X-Men: The Animated Series has a devoted fanbase, but it's not exactly considered a classic on the same level as, say, Batman: The Animated Series.
Regardless, we all had high expectations heading into X-Men '97 and the Marvel Animation series has absolutely smashed them. Perhaps the best take on these heroes we've ever seen grace the screen, Marvel Studios will have its work cut out when it comes to topping the show with its eventual live-action X-Men reboot.
In this feature, we're exploring what's worked so well in X-Men '97 and how that can translate to theaters. In other words, these are the lessons the next X-Men movie needs to learn from the revival, especially after 20th Century Fox's hit-and-miss (mostly miss) efforts.

It’s a bad time for two of the major military shooters, like Battlefield and Call of Duty, but some fans appear to find some silver lining in enjoying them. The latest installments in the Battlefield and Call of Duty series were just two peas in a pod as far as reception is concerned. However, the former appeared to be better in some aspects.
Recently, one video shared on the internet shows Battlefield fans also excels in accuracy, and not just in shooting guns, it seems. Although it has failed to maintain a large user base, the ones still playing are making memories by doing what appears almost impossible. But then, that’s the thing about gamers: they can pull off just about anything there is to pull.

Call of Duty and Battlefield are no Need For Speed games, but the involvement of Electronic Arts with the latter proves why vehicle mechanics are so fluid in Bf games. It’s been a hard time for both the video games as the fans aren’t happy with the franchises’ latest installments. While MW3 could’ve been better but chose to accompany Bf 2042 in its worst time.
Coincidently, both video games are the latest in their respective franchises and deemed by fans as worst, in their respective franchises of course. It wouldn’t be a surprise if fans were surprised to think about what is happening with the major video game franchises right now. Bf really needs a different strategy if they are to outshine CoD in the gaming arena.

After successfully bringing back Dead Space from cold storage, it would seem like a no brainer that EA and developer Motive would get to work on a remake of Dead Space 2. However, according to a new rumour, that may not be in the cards.
According to insider Jeff Grubb (who reported on the original remake’s existence prior to its announcement), on his Game Mess Mornings show, Grubb stated that Motive was working on concepts for Dead Space 2, but that work was ultimately shelved due to lackluster sales of the remake. EA Motive has in turn shifted work to Iron Man and Battlefield Universe.
However, per IGN, EA has responded to the rumour, stating that “We don’t normally comment on rumors but there is no validity to this story.”
Adding a twist to all of this is that EA hasn’t actually reported the sales numbers for the Dead Space remake.

EA recently announced that developer Motive Studio will be assisting in the development of the Battlefield franchise while continuing their work on an upcoming Iron Man game. Fans of that studio quickly realized that many of the people involved with Motive’s critically acclaimed 2023 Dead Space remake are now seemingly working on at least one of those two other projects. Yet, EA made no mention of the Dead Space 2 remake that Motive was reportedly supposed to be working on. That notable lack of information caused Dead Space fans to fear the worst.
Now, Jeff Grubb is reporting that Motive has essentially shelved their previously planned Dead Space 2 remake for a reason that has long haunted the Dead Space franchise like so many Necromorphs: disappointing sales.
“They were working on Dead Space 2, and they are no longer working on it,” said Grubb during a recent podcast regarding Motive’s upcoming projects.

Battlefield 2042 development team has just announced that the seventh season of the game will be its last. The update was shared in an official blog post by the General Manager of Battlefield franchise, Byron Beede.
Acknowledging that this decision may disappoint fans, Byron Beede explained,
“…as we looked at what the future of the series required, it became clear it was time for us to shift our resources and focus to be fully dedicated to what comes next.”
Turning Point, the latest Battlefield 2042 season, was released just last month and received a mix response from the community. While the update did bring a few notable additions (with more to come in the near future), ardent Battlefield fans remained unimpressed.
This may have triggered EA to pull the plug on season 8 of Battlefield 2042. However, it’s a slow pull. While the game won’t get a new season, it will continue to receive fresh content.

New footage of upcoming Gray Zone Warfare developed by Madfinger Games is out and while it’s still raw gameplay, it will remind the players of some popular shooter titles available now. For a developmental stage, the game looks promising as graphics are eye-catching given it is built using Unreal Engine 5. But for the gameplay mechanics, there is much work to be done if it is entering the same arena as Escape From Tarkov and Call of Duty.
Though there’s no official release date for the game, it is likely to come this year only according to the details on its Steam page. For now, it appears like a cakewalk as far as enemies are concerned but the team has said they’ll incorporate some AI-based behavior which may make the game more challenging.

“Did Call of Duty give up on itself?”: Dr Disrespect is at Breaking Point with Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty is one of the most popular multiplayer shooter franchises in the gaming industry. Apart from having a number of games on their roster, they also have a thriving community of players and streamers who drive the game’s popularity day in and day out.
But of late, players have been far from happy with the way things are panning out for the franchise. With the added emphasis on the battle royale mode, veteran players feel that multi-player, the original popular mode, is taking a backseat for the developers. The latest to voice their displeasure has been Dr Disrespect who took to X to ask his fans and followers whether Call of Duty has given up on itself.

Some video games are released without any competition at all. Even if they have some kind of competition, it’s hard for them to match the success that comes with this franchise of first-person shooters. Fans literally wait for the next game, even though this series is a yearly franchise, and Activision produces a brand-new game every year. The quality of its multiplayer mode and the fun time that it provides always end up attracting gamers to it.
But in recent times, Call of Duty games have started changing a bit. For one, they have really started taking their chances with its single-player story mode. On the other hand, for fans, the amount of content that is released with the base game has seen some decline. Now, it looks like one of Call of Duty’s biggest and most popular supporters has spoken up, too.

The latest game in the series wasn’t a disaster but it wasn’t a critical success either. Everyone is aware of how talented director Steven Spielberg is, however, not many people know that the director is equally influential in the gaming industry. Call of Duty and Battlefield are two of the biggest names when it comes to online multiplayer Fps games. However, while Call of Duty is growing even today by adding new games to the franchise, Battlefield has hit a bit of a roadblock. The last installment of the latter was released back in 2021, Battlefield 2042, and was met with a lukewarm welcome by the community. Fans who are now eagerly awaiting a new Battlefield game will be waiting quite a bit longer as a studio closure leaves the game’s future in limbo.
EA Announces Closure of Ridgeline Games The new single-player Battlefield project will now be handled by Criterion Games.

Apex Legends developer Respawn has had its Star Wars first-person shooter cancelled, as publisher EA makes huge job cuts across its studios.
If anything, 2024 is beginning to look like an even more depressing year for the videogame industry, as the number of job losses continues.
Electronic Arts is the latest company to announce major cuts, with the publishing giant stating that it’s to cut some 670 roles – equating to roughly five percent of its staff.
Numerous studios and projects have been affected by these cuts. Among them is Respawn Entertainment, which was working on a first-person shooter set in the Star Wars universe. According to Vgc, that project has been cancelled – it’s not clear whether this was the Mandalorian title rumoured a matter of weeks ago, or something separate.
Given just how well-received Respawn’s other games have been though – not least the Star Wars Jedi titles – the cancellation is particularly surprising.

Call of Duty and Battlefield have been going head-to-head for nearly two decades, but CoD has had the edge for a long time, despite both franchises exploring similar kinds of conflicts. The last game in the franchise, Battlefield 2042, wasn’t really successful with a mixed response.
There are several projects currently in development focusing on a brand-new Battlefield universe, and it is now reported that the next game in the franchise that will be coming in 2025 will have a free-to-play Battle Royale mode similar to Call of Duty‘s popular Warzone.

According to an exclusive report by Insider Gaming, the 2025 installment in the franchise will feature a “new experience” in the form of a free-to-play Battle Royale that is being developed by Ripple Effect Studios.

Rai Cinema head Paolo del Brocco has sought to play down fears that its new film sales operation will take away business from Italian sales agents.

Rai Cinema Launches Standalone Film Sales Unit at EFM With Lineup Toplined by Berlin Title ‘Gloria!’
Italian state broadcaster Rai’s Rai Cinema film arm is launching a new standalone film sales unit at the European Film Market.
The nascent sales company — which is called Rai Cinema International Distribution — aims to fill a gap within Rai’s content sales force given that Rai’s existing Rai Com sales unit is “mostly dedicated to TV product,” said Rai Cinema CEO Paolo Del Brocco.
It will also provide a new international distribution outlet to Italian cinema often sold by French outfits such as Newen Connect, which is the international distributor for Berlinale competition title “Another End” by Italy’s Piero Messina and starring Gael Garcia Bernal.
Rai Cinema, which invests up to €80 million ($85 million) a year in production, is the main driver of Italian indie cinema, with a hand in roughly 60 feature films a year. But Del Brocco underlined that they have no intention of imposing themselves as...

Can you feel that? A great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cancelled their BritBox subscriptions.
Yes, the BBC is finally preparing to do what we have wanted them to do all along and drop 800 episodes of Doctor Who plus extras onto iPlayer, where anyone in the UK with a TV licence can see them at any time.
And now it’s your job to watch them all. The question is, in what order should you watch them? Well, there are several options, depending on just how much damage you want to do to your brain when you attempt this.
Easy Mode: Start With the Accessible Stuff and Work Down
Doctor Who has been many different shows over its 60-year history, and not all of those shows will appeal to different people. If this is your first time approaching the classic series after developing a love...

What is the point of a video game expansion? Too often, the point is to make some extra money without having to make an entirely new game. That’s not necessarily a sin, but the worst video game Dlc expansions too often showcase the worst of gaming. Yet, the best video game Dlc expansions show all the things that concept should be.
The best Dlc expansions do more than give us an excuse to dive back into the games we already own. They revive, reinvigorate, and, in some cases, even redeem their base experiences. We all benefit from learning from our best and worst moments. Well, that’s also what the greatest expansions do. They benefit from the knowledge of seeing what came before and realizing how much more there still is to do.
Before we talk about the greatest video game Dlc expansions, though, please note that this list...

When Ahsoka Tano was first introduced, she served as our eyes and ears in the "Star Wars" universe, the audience surrogate for this new chapter of the story, like Luke before her, or like Ezra Bridger in "Star Wars Rebels" and Rey in the new trilogy. Just as audiences grew up watching the show, they watched Ahsoka grow up before their eyes, going from hotheaded Padawan to one of the most powerful and wise Jedi ever.
It makes sense, then, that she would finally get her own TV show with the eponymous "Ahsoka," as Dave Filoni takes the character he co-created and brings her to the foreground in yet another galactic conflict. The show has been walking a fine line between being a standalone story and a continuation of several stories. There's the Mando-Verse story of the slow rise of the Imperial Remnant, but also the pay-off to the finale...

Darkest Dungeon 2 is all about making the most out of a bad situation. Defeat isn’t inevitable, but it’s certainly likely. The best heroes in the game can help you survive some otherwise impossible situations, but your foolish hopes of victory demand the best team comps.
Darkest Dungeon 2‘s versatile team-building system allows you to explore so many possibilities. Some parties have obvious synergies (and even special team names), but there are so many ways to make a viable team. As such, it’s nearly impossible to identify the absolute best team possibilities so early into the game’s lifespan. Of course, that is something that we’re at least going to try to do as more of the game is explored and “solved.”
For now, though, let’s take a look at some of the best available comps for the very start of the game, the mid-game, and the late-game.

The surprise release of Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer hasn’t only stolen a lot of the spotlight that we thought was going to go to Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 but has seemingly thrown a wrench into the idea that a modern multiplayer shooter needs a battle royale mode to truly make an impact.
It’s impossible to deny the significance and popularity of battle royale games in recent years, but we’re getting to this point where the cries for something different just keep getting a little louder. The problem is that some of the genre’s biggest names (such as Call of Duty and Battlefield) are struggling to find out what that alternative looks like in the modern age while intriguing indie experiences (like the Halo-esque Splitgate) just don’t have the resources to compete and really push their vision as quickly or as far as Triple-a titles can.

Some Doctor Who characters are intended for greatness; some are intended to be killed off at the end of their first episode. Writers have a lot more control over the second than the first. What remains true for all characters, is the tension that exists between their function in the story and their potential to affect it. Even a guard who simply runs into a room to get shot could have dragged the story in another direction, should they be allowed (this stock background character was the inspiration for Terry Pratchett’s City Watch novels).
Successful one-off characters aren’t necessarily those who break away from their function,, but those who make a story soar to another level entirely. More often, what makes them work is when their function in the story is disguised. There are plenty of ways to do this and most of them intersect: casting, costume, dialogue,...

Activision has revealed the first official details for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s multiplayer, which will attempt to combine some of the best elements of previous Call of Duty games while incorporating some intriguing new elements.
One of the biggest surprises of the reveal was Treyarch and Raven Software’s insistence that they intend to incorporate a narrative into the multiplayer experience. Said narrative will be featured in everything from the equipment multiplayer operatives use to the levels themselves and the objectives you complete. Timeline-wise, the multiplayer will take place in the ’80s, but it will be set years after the game’s campaign.
So far as individual modes go, Cold War will revive the franchise’s standard play options while introducing new concepts such as 6v6 VIP Escort operations, 12v12 Combined Arms skirmishes, and a new 40-player, Fireteam mode. That last one is especially interesting as...

Generally speaking, gamers who choose to go online and play with or against other like-minded individuals behave as they would in real life – with good manners and respect. As inevitably as day turns to night, however, there will be times when you encounter immature adults or unsupervised kids that somehow know curse words you’ve never heard of and are all too happy to oblige you with their recital.
There are myriad reasons that such unsavory types choose to use the internet as an outlet for their anger, of course, and how each unleashes that frustration can vary wildly from one person to another. EA may have to reconsider its stance on Star Wars Battlefront II.
Earlier this year, Dice confirmed in a lengthy blog post that it would no longer be providing content updates for its multiplayer shooter set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away and would be moving on to pursue new projects, most notably the next installment of Battlefield. For all intents and purposes, then, both publisher and developer consider the sequel to be a done deal, complete with all the content a Star Wars fan could hope for.
That, it seems, couldn’t be further from the truth, though. For those that don’t recall, Change.org user Christen Adler started a petition three months ago aimed at getting EA to reverse its aforementioned decision and continue pumping out updates for Battlefront II. There have been a ton of phenomenal sales going on for the summer, and they don’t seem to be stopping any time soon. As a matter of fact, PlayStation 4‘s ongoing Summer Sale has over 300 titles discounted for thrifty gamers looking for a good time, with plenty of high-profile and indie games just waiting to be grabbed up and downloaded. Of course, some of those discounts are deeper than others, and a handful of them are so cheap that not buying them would feel almost criminal.
As of right now, there are 5 games you can snag for $3 or less on the PlayStation Store, and at least a few of them are large-scale outings that are worth way more, so let’s take a look at what you may want to pick up right away. Maybe you could even use the $10 Sony is sending out to select PS4 users?

We’ve been lucky enough to snag some pretty great deals from both Sony and Microsoft as of late. Indeed, from Far Cry 5 for a measly $9 on the PS4 to huge savings on the Resident Evil series on Xbox, there’s been plenty of offers to help keep your wallets happy in these trying times.
Now, it looks like Sony wants to double down on all the money-saving fun with their new, annual “Summer Sale” promotion. And as per usual, it’s a real doozie featuring around 500 heavily discounted titles for your gaming pleasure. That’s right, some of the biggest franchises in the industry make an appearance in the sale including Uncharted, Call Of Duty, Star Wars, Doom, Dark Souls, Death Stranding, The Last Of Us, Days Gone, Final Fantasy, The Witcher, Metal Gear Solid, Dragon Quest, BioShock, Battlefield, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto and many, many more.
