Using an anthropomorphic approach yet to be embraced by Disney, "Bedlam" is a fanciful tale told by a mattress with a British accent. Sounds silly, but what emerges is an entertaining porn feature spotlighting some of Vivid's most attractive contract girls.

Main human character is Celeste, looking fabulous, and introduced by the mattress storyteller as her relates tall tales of his experiences to fellow mattresses stored in a warehouse. She bought the mattress after a sales pitch (and after-hours humping in a showroom) by Mark Davis. Later we see her share it with her hot roommate Nikki Tyler, and subsequently Nikki in a threesome on it with Jenteal and Felecia.

A harrowing scene shows Celeste nearly raped by baddie Michael Morrison but saved when the mattress pops a spring to violently thwart the horny dude. An enjoyable happy ending demonstrates how quality filmmaking can whip up audience empathy for an inanimate object.
