Movie about the "seljak"
momaconkic13 February 2015
This movie is a depictions of the "seljak" (villager), at the time of Yugoslavia. A lifestyle that has been more or less the same for the last 300 years.

A conflict, neighbor against neighbor, "friend" against "friend", about the envy of one unmarried pig farmer. Who is young without a wife and much responsibility. The changing ruling class (Tito's communist) makes the seljak irrelevant and forgotten, but still depends on him for food. This dynamic of the new city people and the old villagers, the new machinery against the old ways of growing crop is at the center of the conflict about two worlds pulling at each other. However this is all in the background only hinted at the story and what is shown is the relations among friends who seem to wish each other only the worst.

I liked this movie very much for its truthful narrative of the forgotten but important "seljački" life.
