I purchased a collection of vintage porn from Alpha Blue Archives. This company specializes in restoring and re-releasing seventies and eighties era pornography. The set I purchased is "The Avon Dynasty: Sick 1970's Collection" which has 15 feature films of which "Forbidden Ways" is one.

I was a child during the seventies and therefore would not have been able get into an X-Rated theatre although these films were very popular. The mainstream media of the time gave the film "Deep Throat" a lot of press so it was on every body's radar. So, now that I am an adult I was curious to find out just what type of porn films my parent's generation were watching. From the collection I've been watching, it would seem that the viewing was pretty dull. Perhaps because hard core sex on the screen was such a novelty the lack of plot and clumsy camera work was over looked. Any way, here is my review: "Forbidden Ways" is pretty much a loose story line about a swinging couple who tell each other their sexual experiences they had while they were separated from each other. This plot contrivance justifies a series of strewn together, badly filmed, sex scenes that on balance are pretty dull. Worse, the porn stars are pretty scuzzy looking and it makes for repulsive viewing. It is pretty amazing that this film had the dignity of being projected onto a large screen in a theater and that patrons paid money to watch this.

If you are into the seventies nostalgia trip then check it out. If you're looking for a porn film to turn you one then avoid this film.
