Love The Animator
By 1938, the Krazy Kat animated cartoons had gotten a major makeover; long gone were the days when the links to George Herriman's comic strip more than a credit.. This cartoon, set in a service station in which Krazy pulls levers, is designed with a smooth, Art Deco look. Most of the work seems to be done by animator Harry Love, who runs some standard, but well executed gags from a script by Allen Rose; most of the gags are performed by mechanical men in a nicely exaggerated style.
Love was born in 1911. He started in animation at Mintz' cartoon factory abut 1931. he would go from there to Schlesinger, and spend the rest of his career in various phases of the industry, working for the successors of Termite Terrace, particularly DePatie-Freleng. He died in 1997.
