Decent Pink Panther cartoon
TheLittleSongbird12 July 2014
Pink Campaign is not one of the best Pink Panther cartoons but it's not among the worst either, ranking the ones seen so far it'd be somewhere in the middle. There were a few things that for me didn't quite work. The animation has been much better before, the animation in the Pink Panther cartoons was always minimal but because of the colours and such it was in an appealing way. Here the animation is rather rushed-looking, like in Bobolink Pink(which was a very good cartoon otherwise) the colours are flat and variety-limited and the drawing style does look as though it was done in haste. There are better-paced Pink Panther cartoons too, don't get me wrong Pink Campaign is not dull as such but it does lack energy in spots. The story is a good idea and is used to good effect, but some of it is a little formulaic(you are no stranger to the characters-trying-to-outwit-the-other idea). The music is as catchy and slinky as ever, always have loved the orchestration and the pace of it, while the theme tune is still a timeless classic that is unlikely to change. Pink Campaign is a funny cartoon, with gags that are executed well and none are less than amusing, the door gag is a touch repetitive but not to the extent that it tires you out and there is enough variety in it that makes it still interesting. They are not rushed nor do they feel too drawn out. Pinky is still funny and cool and although he is not very nice in this cartoon he still has a likable charm. But the pointy-nosed guy does have more to do and he is the guy that you do root for more, by the middle of the cartoon you actually do feel sorry for them despite hating him at the start. All in all, decent Pink Panther cartoon that is neither among the best or worst of the series. 7/10 Bethany Cox

The Pink Panther Steals the Man's House
PaulB-47 July 1999
"Pink Campaign" is a Pink Panther animated short where the Pink Panther was in his house and then his house was torn down. He then went across the street to take every part of the man with the pointed nose's house, beginning with the front door. When the man got angry after the Pink Panther steals part of the man's house, he had to call the exterminator and then the police -- and then he had to go to the psychiatrist. After he reported the problem to the psychiatrist, they both went to see that his house was torn down by the Pink Panther, and the psychiatrist had to call the ambulance. The man was then sent into the ambulance, but then he saw his new location of his house, and after that, he immediately ran to the house, but then the ambulance stopped and caught him outside. But then the house was then torn down again!

The revenge is entertaining!
OllieSuave-00714 October 2016
This is a fairly funny Pink Panther cartoon where he exacts revenge on the pointy-nosed man by stealing pieces of his house one by one because he chopped down the panther's tree house for lumber. It's entertaining seeing the Pink Panther cleverly and slyly sneak bits and pieces of the man's house without him knowing, and it is always funny seeing the Pink Panther in his cunning ways - outsmarting the pointy-nosed man left and right.

You will get some laughter here and there - not terribly funny, but still quite entertaining.

Not everyone realizes how this picture inspired . . .

Warning: Spoilers
. . . Modern Detroit. Some dude saw it in a movie theater, and the very next year he warbled out a hit song about an assembly line crook filching a Cadillac "one piece at a time." Another bloke saw it as a youngster, and it resonated with him. After a decade, when he had grown large enough to penetrate the hulking ruins of Motor City neighborhoods and lug around household appliances and car hoods from yard to yard, he created an entire collage of PINK CAMPAIGN homes stolen one piece at a time, as the Pink Panther does here, starting with the little pale man's front door. Of course, the original inhabitants of the looted houses did not take kindly to having all their childhood toys, dolls, clothes and whatnot tacked up to their one-time outside walls for the whole world to gawp at. That's why this misguided "art installation" was soon torched one piece--or house--at a time, just as the Pink Panther eventually sees his stolen home crumble.
