The usually scene stealing Vera Vague has competition in this two reeler Columbia short from Etta McDaniel (Hattie's sister) as the vivacious maid aiding Vera in trying to come up with a silly fib to feign illness to explain a car accident to get out of a date. This gets her in trouble in regards to an accident she had nothing to do with. As "Sasparilla", McDaniel shows she's as funny as her Oscar winning sister (and equally funny brother Sam) in dealing with Vague's nonsense. Vague's tall tales just more and more outlandish, but what it comes down to is the stereotypical image of "woman driver". Moderately entertaining with fun performances by Vague and McDaniel and a moral lesson to boot.
