CHERI is assembly line porn, the chief mystery being its Canadian locations. For some reason this cast of pretty girls, plus Rick Cassidy and John Holmes, "headed north" to British Columbia and shot several films including this one and SEX STATION. Since there was no indigenous hardcore porn industry (or producers) in Canada at all, this is a curious phenomenon.

First off, you know CHERI is a quickie junker by a test I invented -the cast has sex with dirty feet showing, sure evidence of a "get this baby in the can" speedy approach. No time for washing, body makeup or anything.

Susie Carlson, who later did softcore ski-themed movies with Cassidy, is the title character, a free-loving lass making it with everyone in sight en route to a sloppily filmed orgy (touted on the DVD box as the ultimate orgy in film history -not). There is reference to a ski-lift and other allusions to the locale, but this porn is strictly indoors wall-to-wall sex.

It's shot mainly in real-time, no editing fashion, killing off an hour of running time almost as efficiently as Andy Warhol's innovative "let the camera run unattended" approach of the '60s. Like Warhol, the improv dialog is strictly hit or miss.

Cheri (Susie Carlson) is a cute young woman who is at home having sex with her boyfriend (John Holmes) and shortly afterwards we see her going from place to place having sex with other men. This all leads to an orgy at the end of the picture.

This fifty-eight minute film is one of many porn films that were being turned out on a very cheap budget in hopes and catching on with the public. These type of films really do seem as if they were filmed in a day or two as there certainly doesn't seem to be any sort of an attempt at making a quality picture. If you're looking for the porn chic of an actual story then you can forget about that too.

The film does benefit from the fact that Carlson is an attractive woman but there's really not too much outside of that. The opening sequence with Holmes works well enough and especially since the dialogue seems to be being made up as the two go and this makes for a few smiles. The sex scenes are decent enough but there's just not too much of a reason to check this one out.
