Short strange movie
harybobjoebob13 November 2020
This movie is very strange and definitely not for everyone. At only 50 minutes long it's very short, but it uses it's time wisely and the film doesn't drag in any places. The ultraman character in this film is a germaphobe and hates dirt, that's definitely the strangest part of the film, he has to overcome is fear of dirt to save the day.

This film is very comedic, it may as well be a straight up comedy, it pokes fun at some of the goofier sides of ultraman and it is not meant to be taken seriously, it is also for kids so keep that in mind when you watch it. The original ultraman cast makes cameos in this and I loved it, Ide is my favorite character from the series and I loved seeing him again, all of the cameos were very funny and I found them adorable, you can tell everyone is having a good time.

Overall I would say if you're an ultraman fan you may as well watch it, it's short and on YouTube, and even if you're not you can still get laughs out of this and the final fight is actually really entertaining.

Decent but short movie...

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is also known as Ultraman Zearth.

This movie is (was as of me typing this) released by Mill Creek Entertainment.

I purchased my copy in DVD format.

This movie is part of the Tsuburaya/Ultraman franchise.

The movie is short in lenght but that did NOT bother me.

There are cameos of cast/characters from previous Ultraman series.

Be warned this is a comedic take on Ultrama.

The hero in this story must get over his fear of dirt (grime). Yes dirt!!!

The team group is called Mydo (Mysterious Yonder Defense Organization). They have the proverbial team headquarters and equipment too.

I liked this entry. It might be better enjoyed by a younger audience.

But I liked it. A true Ultraman fan would not mind adding this into their collection (as I have).

Dirt bad!

Warning: Spoilers
This isn't your typical Ultraman movie. The plot is bonkers, the hero is inept, the attack team are mostly dimwitted bullies(including the captain), the villain is an oddball, this entire movie is wacky as hell. But, it's supposed to be. It's a parody of other Ultra shows, and it's a fun one. Zearth is something of a germaphobe, which is found out by Alien Benzen, who plots to use it to his advantage in his plot to absorb the Earth's gold, with the help of his personal Kaiju, Cotton-Poppe. Yeah, this is absolute absurdity. But again, it's supposed to be, this film is a comedy. And I had fun. The Ultra series has always been good at laughing at itself, and took a swing at a film Ultra comedy. It's a good film. It's funny. It's short. It's easy to follow. It's a good watch for a rainy afternoon.

And keep an eye out for the cameos by all members of the Science Patrol from the original Ultraman show!
