Great variability in enemies, creative, there are bosses at the end of each floor. From the start, it can be seen that there are 5 floors. Only 5 floors, you can do that, right? There is a story, but it is as paper thin as a shoji screen. Controls are fairly responsive though, which is a confidence builder. Sound is iconic, I don't think anyone will forget the tune after a few plays.
Common enemies hold you and eventually drain health, forcing a back and forth to 'shake them off'. That's okay at first but gets tiring fast, especially when others are throwing knives and other unstoppable attacks. 4th floor boss is one of those 'you've got to know the secret' type fights or just get lucky flailing to figure it out. Scenery per floor could've used some changing. The biggest buzzkill here is not being able to continue. It's a short game, but it's difficult enough to let you pick up at least on the floor you left off.
