This may be kid's stuff in the broader sense, but Plasmo is like if Aussie filmmakers wanted to make an out-of-body experience borrowing from things like Star Wars and some of the production design of Red Dwarf, but applied to an animated series.
I saw the series YEARS ago when it first aired in the late 90s, and it's still got a very special place in my heart. It's sci-fi for kids but a visual treat that is creative, funny and memorable for the viewers.
I've been trying hard, desperately, to see if there's a DVD of the series on the internet, but I can't find one. IT may not seem like it, but introduce this show to kids in this generation they're sure to find something enjoyable considering it's catered to the same audience that loves space-opera. This is space-opera for pint-sized-geeks who will grow and blossom into people with better understanding of the most complex things in life.
Sci-fi I think generally encourages a broader sense of thinking in life, and this series is a good start for kids who want to enjoy sci-fi, but need a simpler introduction.
