- Narrator: Millions of people wear glasses. Fathers or brothers. Husbands or sweethearts wear glasses. There's a pair of glasses on at least one important man in every woman's life. Lawyers can wear them. Diplomats. Students in school. Or, a spaceman. Also, eskimos. Presidents can wear them in peace and Presidents use them in war. Even Santa Claus wore them. But, up until a certain point in history, whoever heard of a movie hero who wore glasses? And a straw hat? Perhaps that's what made this man different.
- Narrator: He believed the unexpected was expected.
- Narrator: He was a getter from the word go!
- Narrator: Immediate survival is the main goal of all go-getters. Even if sometimes there's a lot more go than get.

- Narrator: To pretend is to wish. And to wish is to want. And to want is to do something about it.
