Teenage Nurses played at New York's Capri Cinema for 9 weeks, from 14 May - 15 July 1974, one of the longest runs in the history of the cinema.
Teenage Nurses was originally made by Doug Collins and Avind Harum as "An American in Bethesda" in 1971 as a vaudeville porno musical about Vietnam veterans starring Shaun Costello, Jamie Gillis, Fred J. Lincoln, Larua Cannon, and numerous vaudeville acts including Patrick & Nadja. The film was unsalable and sat untouched until Shaun Costello reworked it and added more footage in 1974 for Teddy Kariofilis and Tom Gioulos at the Capri Theatre. The film was then renamed Teenage Nurses.
