Based on the fairy tale "The Wolf and the Seven Kids".
The cartoon became the second work of Yuriy Entin on the plot of the tale of a wolf and kids. The first was a song written in the 1960s to the music of Vladimir Shainskiy.
All cartoon characters mainly communicate exclusively by songs.
For publication in a book format, Yuriy Entin shifted the plot of this cartoon into a new form, called "Tales with Songs."
In 1977, a television play was staged in the children's TV show "Alarm Clock", in which the roles were played by Irina Muravyova, Sergey Prokhanov, Evgeniy Steblov and four Moscow schoolchildren.
