looks like an English lesson

Tjhis is an amazingly bad movie. I remember Mircea Veroiu as one of the talented film directors in Romania a couple of decades ago. However, this film is a real disappointment.

It is not that the premises could not be interesting. It's the true story of the woman who turned the gangster Dillinger to the police in the 30s. She happens to be a Romanian immigrant in the US, and the film tries to tell the story of her life in America interleaved with an unconsumed love story with her youth boyfriend she leaves in Romania before marrying and coming to the US.

While the idea is not so bad, the realization is awful. Part of the movie is acted in English by Romanian actors, and not only their accent is awful, but also their style of acting is so theatrical that it sometimes reaches the territory of unintentional comic. The actress playing the main character is especially bad. Moreover the script has a lot of flaws, characters that appear and disappear without too much logic. The idea of packaging the story in a film about a film maybe tries to explain the style of acting, but it cannot save this awful movie.
