Rivalry Between Gangs Spoilt By Lame Ending
malcolmgsw8 March 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This is a fairly tense thriller until the last couple of minutes when all the tension evaporates as a result of a tame ending. It seems as if the scriptwriter had got to a stage where he only had about a minute left and had to devise a quick ending to wrap the film up in the alloted time.Basically what happens is that a daughter of a wealthy father is kidnapped. The gang are about to deliver a ransom note to the father. The note is left in a car.this car is stolen by a gang of car thieves.naturally they find the note and decide to cut themselves in on the action by pretending to be the kidnap gang. One added complication is that the secretary to the father is also part of the kidnap gang.Eventually at the end the gangs inevitably meet up.Although there is some action the film is brought to a conclusion by a very lame bit of writing which is very disappointing. However don't let that put you off watching an otherwise tense thriller.

When Thieves fall out...
Sleepin_Dragon25 March 2023
The daughter of a wealthy businessman is kidnapped, but the ransom letter is in the glovebox of a car, a car which is stolen by two professional thieves.

A very intriguing thriller, full of twists and turns, this is a pretty enjoyable episode from series four, I imagine when putting this story, he kept saying to himself 'what if,' and combining it with even more 'what if's,' it's like a serious of almost impossible events all neatly woven together.

It may take a few moments for you to get the jist of the plot, and to put the pieces together, but it all comes together very nicely.

Great visuals once again, there are so many points of interest, look out for The MG saloon, and a really cute small tin of Nescafé coffee. The Streets once again, almost hard to conceive how little traffic was on the roads.

A stylish, twisty thriller.

7/10.

The Rivals

Warning: Spoilers
Rolf Neilson is a tycoon whose daughter is kidnapped.

The kidnappers have their car stolen that had a the ransom note inside.

The car thieves discover the note and hatch a plan to obtain the ransom money from Neilson.

However Neilson's secretary is in league with the kidnappers and realises that the other gang are trying a fast one.

Maybe Neilson should had just called the police. A lot of the people just act stupidly even the secretary who at one point drives off.

The finale was just lamely handled. The two gangs meet up and fight over the ransom money as people get shot.
