Fans expected Marvel to go big today at D23 and thankfully, they didn’t disappoint, bringing with them the first Avengers: Infinity War footage. Full of fun interactions between all your favorite heroes, some epic battles and tons of destruction, it promises to deliver on everything we’re expecting and more.
Or at least, it sure sounds like it. You see, Marvel has chosen to keep the sizzle reel shown today as a D23 exclusive, meaning that it isn’t online just yet. In fact, there’s nothing to say that they’ll make it available to those who couldn’t attend the convention, but we’re definitely hoping that they do. From the reports we’re getting straight from D23, it sounds like Infinity War is going to be the movie to beat next year.

An assessment of the remaining superhero movies of 2017.
There’s a hornets nest to be rattled when it comes to comparing superhero movies in any context, especially when it comes to categorizations like “Best” or “Most Anticipated.” Into these discussions there will always be a hot injection of deeply held personal histories, character and imprint loyalties, and the knowledge that we are not currently in a moment of peace between factions. There are dueling cinematic universes, after all. Plus a bunch of other heroes jumping into the pool, claws out.
So there’s no sense in doing a list of Best, Worst, or Most Anticipated Superhero movies here. Somewhere else on this site, sure. But not today. My interest in superhero movies during a week in which we saw two major superhero movie trailers drop, is less about what is best, what will be more successful at the box office, or...

How to Get Away with Murder is always a wild ride, but never moreso than the back-half of this season. The mystery of #WhoKilledWes has led to some pretty incredible moments, and the mystery has helped the series be more engaging than every. Let’s take a look at what happened in this week’s new episode, “Go Cry Somewhere Else.” If you’ll remember, last week’s episode ended with Annalise still being charged despite Frank’s confession to killing Wes. We also found out that, on that terrible night, Bonnie told Frank to keep following Wes. Both of these things would seem to

Picking up where we left off last week on How To Get Away With Murder, we see a flashback of Frank (Charlie Weber) keeping track of Wes’ (Alfred Enoch) whereabouts, while Bonnie (Liza Weil) checks in. After Frank loses him, Wes is shown getting into a cab and dials a name that says ‘in case of emergency.’ […]

Who did Wes call the night he died?
That was one of the biggest questions after How to Get Away with Murder Season 3 Episode 12.
That person could be the key to resolving this solid murder plot.
However, It seems a little too convenient for it to be Nate. The pair crossing paths at the house before the fire was hardly surprising.
Wes battled for so long to move on from his troubled life that someone calling him by his old name absolutely has to be someone from the past. There's still so much story left to tell and I want the answers now.
That said, the body going missing was a shock.
Considering how it managed to get Annalise out of prison, it could have been someone close to her who orchestrated it.
Nate would not be silly enough to arrange a the transfer. He knew fine well that Atwood was watching his every move.

It’s been an excellent weekend for those who enjoy collecting video game soundtracks on vinyl. Just a few days ago, UK record label Data Discs announced their partnership with Sega to bring Golden Axe I and II to vinyl, which comes packed in with archived artwork, which has been packaged in as lithographic prints. For those who are interested in picking up a copy for themselves, the record is now available for purchase on Data Discs’ website, although I should note that the limited edition (which adorns the record with purple swatches for a cool visual effect when the record is spinning) is sold out at the moment.
However, if subversive and humorous RPGs are more up your alley, than iam8bit has you covered. In collaboration with developer (and composer) Toby Fox, the soundtrack for Undertale, the much-beloved title which released last year, will be released on vinyl.

Extant‘s Season 2 premiere falls back on the age-old cautionary tale: While the astronaut’s away, the robotics pioneers will play!
Ok, that’s not the most important takeaway from the CBS drama’s season opener, which finds Halle Berry’s Molly confined to a psychiatric institution in the wake of some very terrible events. But her husband John’s affair stings nonetheless, especially given the way his involvement in the story ends during the course of this episode. (At least the clues to his infidelity were well-laid —apparently, just like Julie! — last season.)
Oh, and the aliens are still out for us.

It gets a tad heavy-handed, but my eyes welled with tears of geeky joy at the film’s embrace of an optimism it steadfastly refuses to see as old-fashioned. I’m “biast” (pro): love George Clooney; big Sf geek
I’m “biast” (con): nothing

We geeks have been getting teased and taunted by the prospect of Disney and director Brad Bird’s (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Ratatouille) Tomorrowland for so long now, without getting anything more than vague hint of what the movie is actually about, that it seems inevitable that the actual film must be a disappointment. So is it?
Not at all. In fact, it’s a glorious reminder — in this era of reboots and remakes and sequels and based-on-something-else movies — of the joy of discovery that we get far less frequently at the movies these days.

After a series high last week where audiences played at being a Time Lord, complete with all the haunting decisions that stick with you forever, what adventure will our plucky heroes get up to this week? With no real villain* to tie the season together, it’s like getting dressed in the dark as to what theme we’ll be exploring each week is. Will there be ramifications to Clara’s psyche for letting people die on her watch? Will Danny discover her lies? Only time will tell “In the Forest of the Night.” *Obviously Missy is the Big Bad™ (or the Big Red Herring™) but she’s too mysterious to be properly afraid of. She hasn’t even welcomed anyone to “Heaven” in forever. ************ A little girl is running through the forest to an ethereal soundtrack right out of Middle Earth. There are spiderwebs — again? — and I momentarily fear for her mortal safety.

Somewhere in the world, an angry Shawn Michaels fan has just spat on his computer screen…
Somewhere else, another fan just smashed his fist into the monitor…
The other readers, those that haven’t already caused wanton property damage, or inflicted grievous bodily harm upon themselves by punching a monitor (or trying to stick their head through it), are waiting to savage me personally in the ‘comments’ section. Their needle-like fingers are no doubt poised viciously over the keys, like swords of Damocles ready to drop poison words upon the object of their hatred (me). As their dark brains concoct a particularly nasty brand of venom for the heretic who would dare to even suggest such a thing, I have only this to say in my defence.
I am that heretic and this is my opinion:
Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart was a better wrestler than Shawn Michaels.
There it is.

Switched at Birth recap: “It Hurts to Wait With Love If Love Is Somewhere Else” By Aleina McGettrick It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and in this week’s episode of Switched at Birth on ABC Family, there’s not so much love in the air as there is jealousy. Bay (Vanessa Marano) has continually had trust issues because of her previous boyfriends. In tonight's episode, the story continues after the two revelations from last week's episode involving Phineas and rat sushi, separately. Episode 4.02, "Infected," was written by Angela Kang and directed by Guy Ferland.
Spoiler Alert: Do not read any further if you haven’t watched the episode yet. This is a recap with specific details from this episode. Continue only if you have already watched it.
This episode started like how it ended last week. The walkers at the fence were being teased and fed a live rat by a mysterious person with a flashlight hiding their identity.
It's still nighttime, and Tyreese and Karen tried to have an intimate moment together but they were both still distracted by Zach's death the day before. These people were no longer acquaintances, Tyreese thought out loud, as they might be the only people left. Karen was very understanding even when Tyreese started to sing.

Another week, another round of harsh critiques. In music, Theme Park released their self titled album this week, a project packed with upbeat tracks that many critics felt lacked enough substance to really stand out. Johnny Marr's "The Messenger" received some of the strongest reviews this week, but the project was viewed as more of a homage to his earlier sounds that anything really new from the rocker. Sally Shapiro received negative marks for the repetitive sound of the songs on "Somewhere Else" and Ed Harcourt's "Back into the Woods" quickly lost its luster after a few songs.
At the cinema, "Jack The Giant Slayer" received negative takes from most reviewers, owing mostly to a storyline that failed to emotionally impact audiences. "21 And Over" was deemed a ludicrous, immature film worthy of no one's time and "Phantom" contained numerous missteps that caused the film to lose steam.

Bisexual Swedish singer Sally Shapiro just released her new video for her single “Starman” featuring Electric Youth and it's anything but typical.
The glittery clip features a tutu-clad protagonist, two spit-swapping Ken dolls and a spoken word rallying cry against normalcy.
Of the decidedly unconventional video Shapiro says in a press release:
"A starman, in this song, is someone who interests you despite, or maybe because of, being different than the people you usually surround yourself with. Given that a few of our other music videos have depicted boy-girl-love, we wanted the music video to illustrate something less heteronormative. We had already asked the German director Edwin Brienen to direct the music video when we told him that. It turned out that he was gay himself so he was enthusiastic to come up with the music video concept that we went for."

As always, last week gets recapped. But you read that last week right? Right!?
We pick up backstage where Jeff Hardy is beating down Bully Ray in that are that they always seem to be taking photos. They brawl past that with some terribly unrealistic punches and out to another backstage area. Just in time, Roode pulls up in his beautiful white truck and jumps Hardy with Bully. Bully drops a piece of wood on Jeff’s leg that looks like it weighs less than a sponge. They throw him in the back of the truck, but then James Storm comes out of nowhere and gets involved. He throws Storm through a barricade then smacks Bully with a Plastic bottle. I should note there’s a lot of needless grunting going on. Then, Sting comes into the picture and takes a bat to Roode’s stomach.
As always, last week gets recapped. But you read that last week right? Right!?

Tna Impact Wrestling!
5/1/11
This weeks Impact begins with Sting coming to the ring. I love how no matter what other clothes hes wearing he never forgets his skeleton gloves. I once knew a Goth like that. Sting calls out another man reliving his teenage years, Jeff Hardy. If he ever left them that is. Sting tells him hes been impressed lately. Jeff Hardys face is half painted, half not. Sting says he once took his second chance and made something of it, just like Jeff Hardy is now. “There’s creatures out there that adore you and look up to you.” Some of his fans are definitely creatures. Hardy chant amongst them now as Sting gives Jeff his full 100% Endorsement. This brings out Roode, Angle and Bully Ray. They get in the ring and call him out on endorsing Jeff Hardy and that not being fair and square. He accuses...

Impact Wrestling. October 27th 2011
Opening video this week is a recap of James Storm winning the world title. And in the arena we kick off with the new champion himself coming to the ring with brand new music and entrance video. Storm shouts out his dad because he did this for him. And he remembers them watching Wrestlemania 3 together. Can he say that? Guess so. He also says he couldn’t have done it without the fans. I don’t wanna go back and watch, but a face says that every week on Tna right? Storm brings out Fortune, because he has something to say to them. Aj, Kaz and Roode join him in the ring. Storm says the song says Fortune Four but they’re about to change things, like they’ve changed wrestling. Storm says he knows Roode got screwed at Bfg. And so he’s drunkenly come...

Tna Bound For Glory 2011
October 16th, Live from Philadelphia
Obligatory shot of the Liberty Bell and of course Rocky before we move into the Bound For Glory hype video. Then we are listening to Stain’d (for the first time since 2001 if you’re anything like me) as we go Live into the arena. You’d think for their biggest show of the year they’d have some pyro.
X Division Title
Brian Kendrick vs. Austin Aries
Lockup, the crowd strongly behind Austin Aries for some reason. We are in Philly tonight, the crowd could be interesting. Kendrick hip toss and a side head lock take over or three. Austin gets out of each one with an easy head scissors. Kendrick dropkicks him outside, where Aries decides he needs a time out. Of course Kendrick cant resist a vaulting cross body block. I can understand them cheering who they want.

The Apprentice is back!!!
No more do reality TV addicts have to sit through hours of tuneless singers and left footed dancers, now we have some real prats to laugh at!
Lord Alan Sugar’s show returns for it’s seventh series this evening but it kicks off with a twist. No longer are the candidates vying for a job in his company – not that it matters, most of the winners end up leaving anyway – this year the person who impresses the Amstrad boss most, will receive £250,000 and enter into a partnership with Sugar in their own fledgling company.
And we’re off! The by-now standard montage of this year’s Apprentice contestants had some gems – a woman who doesn’t believe the sky’s the limit if there are footprints on the moon, and someone from Northern Ireland who we’re not sure whether to support or rip to shreds.

An idle comment caught my eye: "After all, no one saw the Big Bang." Somewhere else I read, "The universe has no opinion." Then I read that the next Hubble telescope will be able to peer six times as far into space and time as the one now in orbit.
An issue of Discover magazine arrived with a cover story about astronomers struggling with the problem of information overload. The new telescopes have moved far beyond visual images, and monitor a flood of information picked up on many wave lengths. Not even super computers can adequately organize and assess their vast findings. Amazing discoveries may be buried within the data.
The universe is too large for me to comprehend how large that really might be. I've seen those animations where Earth shrinks to a pin point, and then the sun shrinks to a pin point, and then the Milky Way shrinks to a pin point.

Wow, this was another great ep, played very well by Jared and Jensen. I mean, Sam and Dean. Or is it Dean and Jared? Yes, breaking the 4th wall can lead to big confusions sometimes. So let's begin, and try to figure this out.
Who needs walls when you got windows
Those who came to this episode unpreapared probably thought things like "Why are Meg and Ruby in the recap? Is this an 'Are you there, God? It's me, Dean Winchester' kind of episode, only with demon chicks?" Fortunately, with all the hype this episode made, the plot could be found just about everywhere online, so I kinda knew what to expect.
So Sam and Dean are in Bobby's place (I think they sleep their when they're in town. Or when they can't find a good motel). Suddenly, Balthazar shows up and starts comparing the situation to The Godfather. And...

All right, everyone's wearing their leather Speedos, has their bladder of wine, and is saying the word "c*ck" in every sentence, right?
Okey dokey, then by Jupiter's c*ck we are all set to be gods of the f*cking arena!
What? I'm just getting in the mood.
So, big surprise, this episode starts with a battle royale in the arena as we see that old tried and true cliche of Roman arenas, some dude fighting with a trident and net. That just brings me back to grade school.
It's a pretty boring fight, and Batty and Pappy-Batty are discussing the future of their ludus, but the guy with the net does pull a Sick move where he leaps on his opponent and puts him in a scissor hold —
— and then flips him over with his legs and lands a badass arm bar!
What? I'm allowed to know what the moves are called.

Here's links to all the reviews playing at your local multiplex right now, in case you want to get out over the weekend and see something, as long as "something" is The Fighter or The King's Speech, or even Black Swan and True Grit, and as long as it's not Little Fockers or Yogi Bear. Not that we're telling you what to do, but seriously: Don't go see Little Fockers. Nobody wants to see your walk of shame come Monday.
Little Fockers -- Hands Down, the Funniest Movies of 2010
True Grit -- You Give Out Very Little Sugar With Your Pronouncements
Tron: Legacy -- Form Without Function
King's Speech -- There Goes My Hero, He's Ordinary
Rabbit Hole -- There's No Good Why This Came to Pass, There's Only Just Because
Somewhere -- Like Lost in Translation Choked on TMZ and Vomited Up Hunks of the Disillusionment of Celebrities

If you’ve ever dreamed of living in the mansion Vito Corleone ruled his mob empire from, you’re in luck: it’s on the market: The mansion and four-acre estate featured in Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 film "The Godfather" is up for sale for a whopping $2.9 million. Owner Jim Norton said he put the eight-bedroom, five-bathroom Staten Island home on the market after his father recently passed away. ... The estate features a four-car garage, two fireplaces, an English pub and an in-ground swimming pool, Norton said. Lots of other domiciles from movies and TV exist only as soundstages, but we can dream. What fictional home would you most like to live in? Bilbo’s round-doored hobbit hole? The Friends’ spectacular NYC apartment? The Home Alone McMansion? Don Corleone’s Staten Island estate? Somewhere else?...

Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Liam Neeson and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in The A-Team
Photo: 20th Century Fox The A-Team begins "Somewhere in Mexico" and shortly thereafter we jump to an action piece "Somewhere Else in Mexico," which is to say if the trailers didn't tip you off, by the time you're five minutes into this film you're well aware that while it's set in the real world, it isn't concerned with the rules of that world. The A-Team is just as outlandish as the trailers make it out to be and it's easy to have fun with for every bit of its silliness. The mayhem that ensues is the most appealing part of this action adventure even though the finale does get a little too big for its own good almost insinuating there was money left to spend. No problem, this film is never trying to be anything more than a fun and wild romp,...

Scott MacIntyre may not be getting much rest these days, but he sure is having fun. The American Idol (TV) Season 8 finalist is just back from Japan where he performed to sold out crowds, and is now promoting his new CD Heartstrings throughout the Us. The 24 year old musician, singer, and songwriter isn't letting any opportunites pass him by -- but then again, he never has. Scott has been one with music since the age of three when he began playing piano by ear. His ledger of personal and professional accomplishments is too long to list here, so we'll limit it to the fact that he travels with an impressive education in music, and he's written and produced eight CDs. Despite some tough challenges, Scott has emerged victorious and plans to strike some loud chords within the music industry. He has already begun by inspiring thousands, if not millions, of...

With Diablo Cody’s new high school horror film Jennifer’S Body tearing it’s way onto screens this Friday and school itself getting back into session, it’s the perfect opportunity to honor that age old character staple of high school movies, the one that everyone loves to hate, the bane of teenage existence… the high school principle! (Make believe, of course, no offense to any high school principles who may be reading this… or, not!) We’ve decided to take a look back on all the great movies about high school and compile a list of our most favorite of the less-than-favorable members of the cinematic school staff.
