Hulu’s list of new releases for June 2021 is highlighted by a host of useful library titles and one fascinating original film.
The original film in question is the one that lends its delightful photo of Pierce Brosnan delivering a baby to this post. False Positive stars and was written by Ilana Glazer (Broad City). It sounds like a really fun, creepy time with a synopsis that reads: “After months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Lucy (Glazer) and Adrian (Justin Theroux) finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan). But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm, and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him, and her own “birth story.” Cool!
Hulu’s other original offerings aren’t too inspiring this month. Only Love, Victor season 2 on June 11 moves the needle much.

Eliza Dushku has turned in superb performances in TV and films for over twenty years. On the small screen she headlined two shows, “Tru Calling” and “Dollhouse” after her breakthrough role as “bad girl” Faith on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. Her big screen career began with playing the daughters of Robert De Niro and Arnold Schwarzenegger in This Boy’S Life and True Lies. Later roles ranged from the comedy hits Bring It On and Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back to thrillers like Soul Survivors and Wrong Turn. Ms. Dushku returns to cinemas with the family drama/romance Jane Wants A Boyfriend, out on March 25. We Are Movie Geeks spoke with her in a phone interview about the film.

From reissued, obscure first films to misleading marketing, here are 12 film covers that exaggerate the role their famous actors play...
Filmmaker William Castle was famous for his movie gimmicks, from vibrating chairs to plastic skeletons soaring over the heads of audiences in cinemas. The marketers of 1958's The Fly, meanwhile, promised to pay $100 to the first person who could prove that its matter-transportation plot "couldn't happen".
Selling movies to cynical punters is tough at the best of times, and using tricks and white lies to get people to part with their hard-earned cash is nothing new. And one of the simplest tricks in a film marketer's tool bag is to exaggerate an actor's role in whatever it is they're trying to sell. So if uncredited bit player number two suddenly becomes an A-list star three years after a movie's shot, you can be...

ABC’s official Lost auction ended this weekend, but, let’s face it, you’re still disappointed you didn’t pick up a Dharma van of your own. But good news! You can still order collector’s prints of the cast, like the one pictured above, to be featured exclusively in this week’s print issue of EW. “Soul Survivors,” ABC’s final limited-edition collector’s print, is available for $69.99 at officiallostphotos.com. Each print is a 10 x 37 high-end custom print on photo paper, numbered with a certificate of authenticity included. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to...

Remember yesterday when I said I generally enjoy movies about animals? We need to make one glaring, massive exception: if it's not animated, animals should never speak. Ever. Ever. No good can ever come out of it. Animals are like babies -- they shouldn't speak in films, and when they do, the filmmakers should be thrown into a volcano.
For example: Dark Horizons is reporting that ContentFilm has picked up the rights to The Dog Squad: 3D, which has a plot synopsis that will make you want to smash everything in your line of site:

The first decade of the new millennium has come to an end, and that means it is now time for film sites all over the web to begin posting their various retrospectives and lists recalling the decade that was. I generally as a rule dislike such lists because they are always so subjective. Then I said screw it and took it upon myself to do one of my own naming the ten worst horror movies of the past decade. Besides, people love bitching on the Internet about lists like this, and who am I to deny readers yet another excuse to get into pointless flame wars over personal opinions.
Of course, this list is just my personal opinion which is not legally binding ... unless Proposition 304 passes. And we all pray that it will.
I set two rules when putting this list together: Only horror movies that received fairly wide theatrical...
