Although the episodes were mixed in transmission so that the show alternated between "Chockabloke" and "Chockagirl" each week, the episodes of Fred Harris and Carol Leader were recorded in two separate blocks.
Fred Harris taped the first episode on 16th April 1981, then his other six editions between 24th April-15th May. Carol Leader recorded her episodes between 22nd May-4th June 1981. In the case of Crow (1981), this means the episode was broadcast just six days after it was recorded.

The series was repeated multiple times on the BBC, including a repeat run the same year it first aired. The final scheduled repeat was a BBC2 screening on 18th September 1989.
It's commonly believed that over half the episodes of Chock-A-Block are missing from the BBC archives, yet this isn't quite the case. The BBC had wiped the 1" masters of eight episodes, yet still retained them as inferior, off-air video copies.
As of March 2024, only one episode, Magpie (1981), doesn't exist in some format in the BBC archives. However, a domestic copy of the episode was uploaded to YouTube, proving that all the episodes do still exist.
