What happened to this series?
Faces of Gore 1 was a remake of sort of Faces of Death, while that movie is considered a parody, it's still half serious when talking about the cases. Here, in Faces of Gore 2 they made this into a complete comedy.
Our narrator, sounds so out of place, he is making like a horrorish voice, and it just breaks the movie. I can only guess that they wanted it to sound like this, because parody right? However, the jokes are not funny at all because for Christ sake, we are dealing with a Mondo film. The first film made tiny bits of jokes, i found it pointless there, here it's 20 times worse.
They joke about calling the victims: Monsters, freaks, derogatory words for women, and how the victims might get abused even when they are dead, and there was a joke how a man's foot, is on the menu like a KFC chicken. No i am not joking and none of that is funny. I understand extreme jokes, offensive jokes, however it's completely different when you make jokes, while footage of actual victims plays...
However, the footage, just like any other Mondo film out there, it's graphic, and what you expect. Death. I can say that the third segment of this movie is really disgusting, and sickening to listen to. Also, it would of helped if we had subtitles, because both the narrator and the doctor Van Gogh Gore, yell, and do not speak slowly, so it's really hard to understand what the two are saying.
Anyway, i think you should stay with TRACES of DEATH and FACES of DEATH.
