A Brilliant Peice Of Television Art
Co_Conspirator23 March 2003
This show aired on SBS down here in australia about 3 years back and was taken off air the next (or same) year. The brilliant, and in my opinion, original, idea of this show is that it is 'interactive' and can also appeal to those 'reality tv lovers' out there.

The shows website (which has now been taken down by SBS) was a means for the viewers (some who stayed hooked to the site even a year after the show was cancelled) to send in story lines to the writers of the show, which would then be used to create a story "THE SAME NIGHT" and they would record the show and air it later that day. The show takes place on a train after an average work day, the characters (which were quite well writen and beleivable) would talk about thier day at work, thier lives, and issues currently in the news (REAL NEWS)

The show had a replacement (24/7) which was hardly as fun, or interesting than Going Home.

Going Home - a memorable, fantastic and compelling TV series

Warning: Spoilers
I have fond memories of Going Home which was screened on SBS in 2000. It was compelling, humorous and entertaining. It featured a group of regular passengers on the train home talking about the day's events (the script writers incorporated current events at the last minute, sort of like Drop the Dead Donkey) and also events in the passengers' lives.

Going Home featured high caliber performers like Camilla Ah Kin and Jason Chong.

I was amused that IMDb states Going Home is a version of Train 48, a similar Canadian series. Actually Going Home came first by three years or so.

I wish SBS can bring back Going Home.
