On Friday, November 17th, Vidya Balan will hit the big screen in Tumhari Sulu. A slice of life film, it tells the story of happy-go-lucky, enterprising and enthusiastic Mumbai housewife (Sulochana a.k.a. Sulu – Vidya Balan) who unexpectedly lands the job of a night Rj (radio jockey) on a leading radio station. What follows is a lot of comedy, laughs and drama and more.
At the helm of this exciting film is noted ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni who is making his debut as a feature film director. The film also features performances by Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia, and Malishka Rj.
First let’s set the stage with trailer to give you an idea of the world of Vidya’s Sulu.
Occasionally during certain interviews, there are times that you throw out your list of questions and go with the flow of the conversation and that happened with Suresh Triveni.

The devil loves tormenting good Christian communities.
From Roadside Attractions, “The Devil’s Hand” stars Rufus Sewell (“Hercules,” “Gods of Egypt”), Alycia Debnam Carey (“Into the Storm”), Adelaide Kane (“Reign”) and Colm Meaney (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”).
Here’s the synopsis:
Something very strange happened in the small village of New Bethlehem, a devout community kept under the tight reins of the town's vigilant Elders. Six girls born on the same day to different mothers. Perhaps a coincidence or as most believe a chilling omen of something yet to come. Now, on the eve of their 18th birthday, the young women are mysteriously disappearing one by one and feared dead. Terror has overtaken this quiet community. Could this be the work of a serial killer, one of the village elders or a horrific prophecy come true?
Latino-Review had an exclusive phone interview with actress Adelaide Kane on the release date for the film.

The Eleventh Doctor
Portrayed by: Matt Smith
Companion(s): Amy Pond, Rory Williams, River Song, Clara Oswald
Tenure: 39 stories (44 episodes), from “The Eleventh Hour” (April, 2010) to “The Time of the Doctor” (Dec, 2013)
Signature look: The Eleventh Doctor’s look gets a few tweaks during his run. He starts with a tweed jacket, which later becomes a long purple (all together now) frock coat (the Doctor loves his frock coats), button-down shirt, bowtie (they’re cool), suspenders, lace-up boots, and, to go with his purple coat, a purple waistcoat and pocket watch with chain. And of course, if possible, he will accessorize with whatever distinctive headware is handy.
Catchphrase: The Eleventh Doctor has several catchphrases, particularly, “Geronimo”, “Come along, Pond”, and “I like <fill in the blank>s now. <Fill in the blank>s are cool.”
Personality: The Eleventh Doctor is whimsical and energetic, but also brooding and manipulative. His number one rule for his Companions is that the Doctor always lies,...

Breaking Bad is over and what a finale it was, although it may have been predictable based on what we knew from the flash forward at the start of the season, it still didn’t disappoint and was full of stirring and thrilling moments. More importantly, now that this is over, Netflix crucially need to up their game.
Hansel and Gretel and Texas Chainsaw, two pretty dire entries from earlier this year, just are not going to cut it against Argo and The Perks of Being a Wallflower regardless of who did what at the box office. Netflix seem to have the monopoly on quality catalogue titles this week with some little seen gems with Permanent Midnight and Orange County but this means nothing to the public and mostly registers with nerds like me.
This isn’t a suggestion that the company is in trouble at all but consider what...

Stardom has never looked so scary to Matt Roloff and his family.
The Roloffs -- stars of the reality TV show "Little People, Big World" -- are the latest celebrity victims of disturbing online threats and harassing phone calls from an unknown stalker.
The family lives on an Oregon farm, and Matt Roloff told The Huffington Post that some of the threats have been very specific. "They've been to the farm. They know it. Is it somebody on our farm? Someone in our own network of people we know, or some random individual? We don't know who's up to it, and it's spooky," Roloff said.
An escalation of the threats against the Roloffs, a family of six with three members with dwarfism, put local law enforcement on notice.
"The threats have got more hateful and more graphic in nature. They do seem to be escalating and becoming more disturbing," Sergeant...

Despite the lows of late, I'm a big Jim Carrey fan. So I'll probably go see "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" at some point this week, even if the reviews are pretty dreadful. "The good things in the film are more frustrating because the film never finds a way to tie it all together, thematically or tonally, " HitFix's Drew McWeeny wrote in his review. "That would have been a magic trick worth applauding if they had." I imagine a fair amount of the readership is going to give it a whirl this weekend, so as always, we have a space for...

Since the release of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope in 1977, mystery and intrigue has surrounded the order of warrior monks know as the Jedi. Obi-Wan Kenobi drops a few hints at their role before the great purge in the film, “for over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic.” Our imaginations went into overdrive trying to conceptualize how this great order would have looked during the peak of its influence. This was answered in the prequels.
Firstly, the prequel trilogy actually did some good. They visually opened up the Star Wars Universe for a lot of people, and laid the groundwork for a bunch of Expanded Universe stories, in as much as the look and feel of the Jedi Order in the Sweu.
We owe so much to the prequels for visual presentation of them in the video games and novels.

Sons of Anarchy premiered with a fiery death and to record ratings this week, as the Jax Teller presidency got off to a bumpy beginning.
What was the best scene? Where does the drama go from here? Round Table panelists Matt Richenthal, Christine Orlando, Chris O'Hara, Carla Day and Dan Forcella have gathered below to assess "Sovereign" and title Jax's new journal...

What was your favorite scene from the premiere?
Matt: The mini showdown between Clay and Jax at the table. I was of the opinion that the latter had to kill the former last season, but I'm now fascinated by the ways in which Kurt Sutter will force these two to play off each other and, of course, against each other.
Christine: I loved the opening scenes with Gemma and Nero. Between Gemma being hungover and clueless and Nero's "I'm a companionator. I bring folks together. I'm all about the love,...

Rupert Murdoch has stunned his critics and supporters alike by announcing that the paper with over 168 years in the business is to shut after the weekend edition after the recent phone hacking scandal.
Considering that there is currently an attempt by News Corp to purchase BSkyB this could have real and lasting implications for the entertainment industry.
The News of the World is Britain’s biggest selling Sunday paper but was rocked by the culmination of 5 years of allegations about phone hacking. The death knell was sounded by an allegation that a private investigator hacked into the voicemail of the murder victim, Milly Dowling. As more allegations came to light, the newspaper started to haemorrhage advertisers.
Yet it is fair to say that no one expected Rupert Murdoch to go this far. Sack his Chief Executive who was editor at the time? Yes but close down the paper? No one...

The Resident
Guest review by Dog Ate My Wookie
Stars: Christopher Lee, Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Michael Massee | Co-written and Directed by Antti Jokinen
When Hammer Horror came back on to the scene I squealed with delight but with the titles now beginning to rack up and an Awesome ‘Hammer’ logo now appearing on these films I’m left to wonder; where are the classic Hammer films with busty bar wenches and vicious vampires in camp capes? It’s not that The Resident isn’t worth seeing but I’m just wondering where the lesbian vampires are! Which leads us to the review… The Resident a film with so many good things going for it, how can it be bad?
Juliet formerly a successful career woman returns to Brooklyn and her career after a breakup with long term boyfriend and cheater Jack (Lee Pace, Pushing Daisies). Never missing an...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Sometimes in life you really do have to take the sweet with the sour. Watching Sucker Punch was kind of like that, it was good, it was bad, and it was also big on the ugly.
A firestorm of controversy has erupted since the release of Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch. Objectification, exploitation, spellbinding, revolutionary, these are the words being bandied about and Zack Snyder’s visionary status is under heavy fire and intense scrutiny.
Sucker Punch (2011) - Emily Browning as the diminutive samurai butt kicking Baby Doll.
There has been grumbling about the deceiving marketing of Sucker Punch and packaging the movie as simply a guy’s graphic novel style T & A flick, when in actuality it was really a message movie about Zack Snyder’s idea of female empowerment. Whatever the argument, this is one fantasy...

We got a new look at the Five-o team this week on "Nalowale," as emotions were exposed due to a kidnapping case that impacted members of the team in different ways.
It was great to Jean Smart as the Governor again, as she is a wonderful actress and showed a lot of heart in the episode. My only wish is that the show had expanded her relationship with the girls a little bit more because you could tell she was close to them. To what extent? That was hard to determine.
The biggest disappointment was the introduction of the Medical Examiner Max Bergman, played by Masi Oka. Maybe it's just me, but it seems a bit odd to have an Asian named “Max Bergman.”
Perhaps I could look past that fact, but I can't get over the horrendous failure in trying to make Bergman Ocd and/or an eccentric savant.

Pretty Little Liars - 1.01 "Pilot" - Recap/Review
June 8, 2010, was the day ABC Family welcomed a new television show to their network of what everyone would think would be filled of teen fluff shows like High School Musical or The Cheetah Girls. But, despite misguided preconceptions, Pretty Little Liars is a show that shouldn't exactly be for the younger generation. After all, it has murder, scandal, and even the exploration of one's sexuality. Does it really belong on ABC Family? Desperate Housewives for teens, huh? Wait a minute, isn't Desperate Housewives mainly for teens anyway?
After watching the pilot episode, and though I myself was looking forward to the premiere, I couldn't help but notice the pretty little errors that the show didn't do its best to cover up. I have not read the books the show is based on, but I am sure the show stands on its own two feet.

I’m pretty sure they’d believe me that this was a real hidden immunity idol at this point. Another day, another fake idol. After winning the reward challenge and spending time with his wife and some nasty-looking pizza, Bob went back to the game recharged and ready to see if the nitwits he’s been playing with will fall for another fake idol for a second time in a row. First, of course, he had to get on his high horse about how Sugar laughed at Randy when he played the fake idol, as if he had nothing to do with that. Oh, except that he made the idol in the first place, showed it to Sugar, and then went along with her plan to give it to Randy for the sole purpose of embarrassing him. Come on, Bob. But my annoyance with his hypocrisy soon gave way to...
