I’m not embarrassed to say that I will watch almost any documentary. I have realised that the subject doesn’t really matter if the film is made well. It absolutely does not matter what the documentary is about for me to enjoy it. That said, travel interests me a great deal and I love seeing different parts of the world that I have both seen and not seen. On top of that, I grew up as a teenager, watching the Cky skate videos and various other skateboard-themed ‘documentaries. So Woolf Women – Now or Never has a couple of things on its side before I have even started it.
The documentary does plenty of things well in regard to the two things I have mentioned. It covers a group of...

Concord is reaching into its huge library of music recordings for a first-of-its-kind initiative with Outfest to support up-and-coming Lgbtqia+ filmmakers of color.
Over the weekend, the festival premiered three short films selected for the initiative — each of them making creative use of a song from the Concord IP holdings, which include more than a million recordings and music compositions.
Skate, a short written and directed by Zoë Hodge that’s set in a roller skating rink, incorporated Sylvester’s disco anthem “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real).” Avivar, a drama that revolves around the patriarch of a Latino family and his queer son, drew inspiration from “Tres Días de Carnaval” by Latin music icons Celia Cruz and Johnny Pacheco. Miles Lopez directed, while Jonathan De La Torre wrote and stars in the film.
‘Artificial,’ directed by Chanelle Tyson

There seems to have been a lot of interesting TV shows announced this week. First there was a Dracula series, then a Green Arrow series, now we've learned that the A&E network is developing a series that will play out as a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's classic film Psycho.
The series will be called Bates Motel, and it will "delve into how Norman Bates’ dark, twisted backstory from childhood through his teen years and will chronicle how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping shape the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history."
Now this is a series I can get behind 100 percent! I love the idea of seeing Bates' backstory! There's a lot of potential for a drama series like this, and I already can't wait to see what it will bring us.
The series is being written by Anthony Cipriano who has written...
