Raven-Symoné is defending her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, following a social media backlash that involves internet trolls making death threats.
In a video shared on social media, the That’s So Raven star is seen with her wife calling out social media users leaving horrible comments.
“I’m here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments. And stop with the death threats in her DMs,” Symoné said in the video. “It is disrespectful to her, and in turn, disrespectful to me. Stop it.”
The backlash stems from Pearman-Maday stating she didn’t grow up watching Symoné on the Disney Channel series.
“It’s really become wild. I hope to clear the air right now and let you all know that I never have once said that I did not know who Raven was,” Pearman-Maday said. “I only ever said that I did not grow up watching That’s So Raven.

The reboot of popular 2000s Disney Channel sitcom Lizzie McGuire was cancelled. Now, one of its writers has revealed a few new details about its plot.
Hilary Duff was a huge star among pre-teens in the early 2000s thanks to her portrayal of the eponymous character in Disney Channel sitcom Lizzie McGuire – and its subsequent movie.
The show followed the awkward, klutzy teen as she navigated life, school with best friends Gordo and Miranda, played by Adam Lamberg and Lalaine. There was also her family – her younger brother Matt, played by Jake Thomas, and her embarrassing parents, played by Hallie Todd and Robert Carradine – whose brother David appeared in one episode as a mentor to Matt when he made his own kung fu film.
One memorable aspect of the show was the frequent use of an animated version of Lizzie, which represented her inner monologue. The show’s popularity led...

Bunk’d, which is currently the Disney Channel’s longest running sitcom, is to conclude after the seventh series.
From early 2000s classics like Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire to The Suite Life franchise, That’s So Raven and the hugely succesful Hannah Montana (which was spun off into feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009), Disney’s formula of well cast, high concept sitcoms has put it at the top of the tween sitcom tree for several decades.
One of its more recent successes was Jessie, which provided a star vehicle for Debby Ryan after several years in The Suite Life On Deck.
The show saw Ryan play the titular character, who acted as a nanny for three kids – Zuri, Ravi, Luke and Emma, played by Skai Jackson, Karen Brar, Cameron Boyce and Peyton List, respectively. Jessie grew into one of Dusney’s most popular shows and eventually ran from 2011 to 2015.

Today, Ashley Eckstein is known for voicing one of the most popular "Star Wars" characters of the 21st century: Ahsoka Tano. The performer, who has won praise and recognition for her turn as the Togruta Jedi turned Rebel, surprised audiences when she made her debut in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." She quickly proved herself capable of not just kicking major butt in the "Star Wars" universe but also of being great enough to slip into existing canon without alienating picky fans of the original and prequel trilogies.
Since Ahsoka's introduction, she's become a massively popular character, starring in "Star Wars Rebels" and "Tales of the Jedi" and making the leap to live action, with Rosario Dawson putting on the head tails to embody the character. Ahsoka wasn't always embraced by "Star Wars" fans, though. In an interview Eckstein gave to Vanity Fair in 2020, the actor revealed that reactions...

Can you imagine if "That's So Raven" starred anyone else as its lead other than Raven-Symoné? We can't, but according to series star Anneliese van der Pol, Disney Channel initially gave her former child-actor costar a supporting role in their show because of what she claims was racism from the network.
During an appearance on fellow Disney Channel star Christy Carlson Romano's "Vulnerable" podcast, van der Pol said that when the network was casting for her family sitcom (originally called "Absolutely Psychic"), Raven-Symoné wasn't the original lead, "she was the sidekick." At the time, the "That's So Raven" alum said Disney Channel was still looking for its main star, a role she auditioned for herself.
As it turns out, Disney Channel filled that role with another actor, with Raven-Symoné still on board as the "sidekick," but van der Pol noted, "When they filmed, they realized...

After making her TV debut at just four years old, Raven-Symoné has been a persistent presence in kids and family entertainment for more than three decades, particularly on the Disney Channel, where she rebooted her 2003 family sitcom “That’s So Raven” as “Raven’s Home” in 2017. It’s a type of longevity few have enjoyed, especially not among child stars — so what’s her secret?
“I’m supposed to say re-inventing yourself every time, but, ultimately, I’m not re-inventing myself. I am being true to who I am,” Raven-Symoné told Variety at the inaugural Family Entertainment Awards on Thursday night, where she was honored for her long-time contributions to the genre.
“As I continue to grow, others will see that as a reinvention, but it’s just growing into who I am,” she explained, noting that she’s not solely responsible for the original vision that got her to where she is today,...
