A milestone in punk rock history
Well, lets start by saying that this video is now a DVD. There is no beginning, and there is no ending.
There is a mild riot captured by skateboarder and DVD producer Richard White who also happens to be the bass player of legendary punk band "No Apparent Reason."
The riot footage was broadcast on ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. If the riot footage was good enough for Peter Jennings and ABC news then it's good enough for the world!
This world wide publicity gave Epitaph records, Brett Gurewitz, and Bad Religion the kick start they needed to take punk rock to the next level. Epitaph going from a small struggling indie label in 1990 to a huge indie label in 1992, as a result of this worldwide publicity. Bad Religion became the political voice of punk rocks mainstream.
In the fall of 2006 this DVD is being re-released with never before seen footage of Bad Religion's make up show from the canceled riot, which was held at the Hollywood Palladium in 1991, with 13 minutes of some of the best skateboarding footage ever captured on tape.
This DVD is pure punk rock history, a great document of a time in which punk rock and pop culture would be changed forever by a skateboarder with a video camera.
Skate footage with Brian Patch, Duane Peters, Tony Hawk, Richard White, Steve Caballero, Nik Rosendahl, Andy Mac, and many more.
