The appeal that this picture makes, comes especially from the three children who, as little romps, are as natural as any youngsters. The most interesting section of the picture shows them at the Bronx Park Zoo. These views are fine. The story is also effectively told and clear. Miss Fearnleigh plays very well the role of a frivolous young wife, whose life is exclusively for society, but who misunderstands the reason for her elderly husband's visit to a neighbor's, a widow, mother of the three children. The photographs have the sharp contrasts between background and highlights often noticed in Reliance films. It sets the figures forth, but it leaves somber shadows, and these are not without their effect on the impression left. - The Moving Picture World, May 11, 1912
