The first time Sharon met Amy was before the singer hit it big with her single ‘Rehab’, and Amy stayed with the Osbourne family while she was doing promotion in the U.S. According to ETonline.com, “She also remembers Amy’s incredible talent, noting that she was one of the only artists to actually sing live on ‘The Sharon Osbourne Show’ in England.”

Ailing reality TV star Ozzy Osbourne is getting used to having a rod for a collarbone. The rocker's wife Sharon Osbourne told viewers of her American TV chat show all about Ozzy's terrifying accident in December, when her beloved husband nearly died following a quad bike accident in his English country estate. It was the rock matriarch's first appearance on The Sharon Osbourne Show after spending the past month by Ozzy's hospital bed in Slough, south England. Ozzy had to have an artery transplant after part of his collarbone severed an artery leading to his arm, and just avoided having his arm amputated. The Osbournes star added Ozzy was confused a lot and at some points believed he was in New Zealand and Amsterdam and survived a bomb blast in Wales.

Syndication's new high-profile talk shows The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Sharon Osbourne Show experienced vastly different fortunes in the latest syndication rankings report. Ellen posted its best number to date, while Sharon fell to its lowest number. It was the same week that Sharon Osbourne relinquished the host's seat to be with her seriously injured husband, Ozzy Osbourne, in the United Kingdom. Ellen (1.8 rating) increased 13% from the previous week and has risen 29% since its debut in September. The daytime talker was the only first-run strip in syndication to hit a new high for the week ending Dec. 14. Sharon (1.3) was down 7% from the previous week, when Osbourne was hosting every day. This was the show's lowest number to date and an overall 13% decline from its debut number. Osbourne hosted the show through Wednesday, when substitute hosts Jack Osbourne, her son, and Lance Bass filled in after Ozzy Osbourne was injured when his all-terrain vehicle flipped.

Jack Osbourne has confirmed on-air his mother Sharon Osbourne is 'fine' as she looks after her accident-prone husband Ozzy at hospital in England. Ozzy fell off his quad bike at the family's Buckinghamshire estate on Monday, and underwent emergency surgery after breaking six ribs, a collarbone and a vertebra in his neck. Sharon immediately rushed to her husband's side upon hearing the news - leaving son Jack and friend Lance Bass of 'N Sync to cover for her on her Los Angeles-based Sharon Osbourne Show. Jack says on the show yesterday morning, "(Sharon)'s a little shocked. I think being so far away from someone, and hearing bad news, it's a little hard to kind of really take it all in because there's about 6,000 miles in between and it's just, it's really hard to kind of really understand what's happened. I spoke to her a couple hours ago, and she had just got back from the hospital, and she's fine. It's just, my parents are so damn co-dependent on each other, like one can't live without the other! So it's definitely a shock, but he's gonna be alright, so I think that's real comforting for her."...

Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette's dream of becoming parents has finally been realized, according to the actor's brother, Alexis Arquette. Alexis, 43, broke the good news during a Monday appearance on The Sharon Osbourne Show, which will hit TV screens on November 7. Set sources say that while looking through a photo album, Alexis stopped at a picture of Friends beauty Cox and said, "I have a little secret to tell everybody, and they don't know I'm going to tell it, but I talked to her last night and we were together and she told me. Ladies and gentlemen, keep your fingers crossed - she's pregnant again. Every ginger is crossed. Our legs are crossed, everything is crossed." Scream co-stars Cox and Arquette have had conception problems during their five-year marriage, with the actress suffering two miscarriages. And while the good news has sent ripples of excitement around Hollywood, the couple's publicist Cindy Guagenti says, "We're not commenting. Sharon Osbourne has further insulted Hollywood actor Ben Affleck - by offering him just $1,000 for Jennifer Lopez's engagement ring. Affleck spent in excess of $1 million on the pink diamond ring when they got engaged late last year. But, after their wedding was called off, outspoken Sharon approached Affleck on the streets of Hollywood on Monday to ask if she could have the ring at a discounted rate. And despite realizing that Affleck was far from amused at the proposal, the rock matriarch, married to Ozzy Osbourne, has now made the actor a minimal bid on her The Sharon Osbourne Show yesterday morning. As her audience giggled, she said in a public plea to Affleck, "Ben, I've been asking you to let me have the first bid on the ring and you haven't called. I keep going and saying to my husband, 'If Ben calls me and says that we can put a bid in the for the ring, how much will you give me?' He's going, 'Maybe a grand, that's it. It's not worth any more.' So Ben, there's a grand, maybe I can get him up to five, but please call me."...

Sharon Osbourne's first day as a chat show host turned into a very teary affair - she sobbed through an interview with country star Wynonna Judd and then made a family weep by handing out generous gifts. The reality TV matriarch couldn't hide her emotions when she chatted with Judd after she performed new song Heaven Help Me. Osbourne confessed the song had touched her deeply and then began to sob, leaving Judd to say, "She is a softie at heart. I love to see a strong woman be soft." The new chat show host was so upset she had to take off her false eyelashes. Then Sharon thrilled the eight kids of the Scott-Cardigan family, whose parents died earlier this summer, by presenting them with shopping vouchers, a new car, and free counseling. And there was more - Sharon's generous husband Ozzy handed the kids $1,000 each to "live life". The show also had it's funny moments - a cameraman was banished from the studio when Judd's pet dog Angel kept growling at him. Sharon explained, "Angel is a guest in the house and we're not going to be upsetting the guests." The Sharon Osbourne Show began its run on American TV yesterday...

Sharon Osbourne has missed an important appointment to tape test shows with celebrity guests for her troubled chat program The Sharon Osbourne Show. The mother of three was supposed to be at the Los Angeles studio on Monday - but rang in sick from England on Saturday, telling bosses she would not be in all week. Even though guests and audiences had been booked, Sharon decided she would get in on Friday and Saturday. Sharon's show is set to debut on September 15 but has been beset with problems - booking celebrity guests has proved difficult, with Sean 'P Diddy' Combs being the biggest name attracted to the vehicle. An insider says, "Sharon is a smart, tough businesswoman. She thought her experience with Telepictures would be the same as the one she had with MTV, where they let her do whatever she wanted. Things are not going well." However, Telepictures president Jim Paratore insists, "Our relationship with Sharon has been and continues to be terrific. Sharon went to London to see (daughter) Kelly perform, something that had been the plan for a long time. She got an ear infection and the doctors told her not to fly. Because we're in good shape it wasn't a big deal."...

Morale on the set of rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne's upcoming talk show is dangerously low because pre-production has been beset by a wealth of problems. The Sharon Osbourne Show is set to debut on September 15, but celebrity guests have proved difficult to book - and two producers are so stressed they ended up leaving the studio in an ambulance, according to the New York Post's Pagesix website. A studio source reveals, "We're six weeks from debuting and we really don't have a formula that works. Sharon is lovely. She's smart. Everybody loves Sharon and no one wants to do a show that will embarrass her. But the executives have changed their minds 10,000 times and it's like we're starting from scratch." Some staff have been working on the show for two months, but stress has proved so great two producers were admitted to hospital - one suffering a seizure and the other an asthma attack. The source adds, "The whole staff feels beaten down and exhausted. Everybody wants to leave. There's a sense of mutiny." Jim Paratore, president of Telepictures Productions, said on Monday, "This show won't be like any other show on TV. The Sharon Osbourne Show will combine celebrity segments a la Live With Regis And Kelly, human interest stories a la Oprah, plus musical guests and pre-taped mini-reality segments. It's really three shows in one, and that's why it's been such a difficult start-up. It's always been a very ambitious show. It takes a while to get everybody on the same page." So far the only celebrities lined-up by bookers are David Spade and Bow Wow, and Paratore admits, "Morale is mixed. The people doing good are feeling good, the people who are not, are not."...

New York -- Warner Bros. has sold a second window of its upcoming The Ellen DeGeneres Show to the Oxygen cable network. Episodes of the daytime talk series will reappear one week after their syndicated TV premiere Monday-Friday after 10 p.m. on Oxygen, which hasn't determined a particular time slot yet. Additional episodes will repeat during the weekend as well. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ellen DeGeneres' sly humor is a perfect fit for the female-targeted cable channel's sensibility, said Debby Beece, president of programming at Oxygen. "She's edgy but funny, and that's what we are," she said. "I think this is a big win for us." More and more big-budget syndicated programs are looking to repurpose episodes elsewhere as a means of offsetting production costs. Warner Bros.' short-lived The Caroline Rhea Show earned a second window on ABC Family, and its upcoming The Sharon Osbourne Show will be repurposed on Wgn Superstation. Premiering Sept. 15, Ellen is cleared in more than 95% of the country, including NBC O&O stations.
