Fantastic locations, solid mystery thriller.

I was lucky to get an Asian import DVD of this titles with English subtitles. My DVD had fantastic resolution & excellent cinematography. I bought this DVD because it featured a screenplay by Daniele Stroppa (Wax Mask, Creepers, House of Clocks, Delirium, Killing Birds) who was a frequent writer on Joe D'amato horror movies. It also features cinematography from Daniele Massaccesi, the son of Joe D'amato, who himself was a great cinematographer. I bought this DVD not ever having know anyone who had ever seen it.

I have to say that I was presently surprised at how much I liked the film. The film is shot in Cuba and you get lots of fantastic shots of the ocean coast, beautiful old building and lots of old American convertible cars. The #1 highlight of the film was the beauty and energy of the leading lady Alma, played by Linda Batista. She is a super sexy as the wife of Nicola, a airplane pilot. The film starts with a plane crash and we assume that the pilot Nicola dies. His brother Andrea flies in from Italy to find out what has happened. He meets the beautiful widow and starts to fall for her. We as viewers try to figure out if Nicola is alive and we also run into a good looking villain and his lady cousin who appear to be connected with Nicolas disappearance. We also have the local police inspector investigating and we are treated to watching sexy Alma dancing as the headliner at the Trocadero nightclub. Alma is the kind of girl that can interest you at 1st glance.

I recommend this film but I have to say that I am a HUGE fan of Italian movies and consider this movie a solid thriller with above average location shots. This movie gives you a small glimpse of Cuba. The DVD I watched ran approx. 1 hr 45 minutes. All the main actors are very attractive looking and this is worth checking out. The movie keeps you guessing about the fate of Nicola and keeps you wondering if Andrea will end up the Alma. The police inspector is very likable and compassionate. This is definitely worth checking out if your into Italian movies.
