Very short and not all that necessary, but well worth seeing if you get the DVD

"The Premature Burial" and "X, The Man With X-ray Eyes" have both been packaged together on one DVD. In addition, there is this short that is only 9 minutes long. It consists of Roger Corman talking about the making of the film as well as clips from various Poe-inspired films he made. A bit of the extra consists of Corman talking about the background for the film--such as how it came to become an AIP film. However, most of the short consists of him talking about all the great people that helped him make the film. It was interesting that instead of talking about all his contributions as director and producer, Corman spends most of the time talking about how others made this film looked so good--from Milland's acting, to production help from Corman's brother to the cinematographer--about whom he had many wonderful and interesting things to say. None of this is particularly needed to watch the feature film but it is pleasant and it's nice to hear Corman's melodious voice. My biggest complaint, though, is that it's so freakin' short--I wanted more material and what we did get was very nice.
