A comedy decidedly amusing, although along quite conventional lines. Uncle was expected. His object in coming was to see John's bride. He was giving John an allowance and he wanted to know whether to increase or diminish it. They expected him to come disguised. A tramp came and the bride received him as an honored guest. When the uncle came, he called at John's office first and the two found the tramp at the table. The tramp could have acted more naturally easily and it would have been even funnier. When exaggerated acting is continued too long it begins to bore. The comedy, as a whole, is brim full of good laughs. - The Moving Picture World, December 9, 1911
